Objective: anterior surgical treatment of cervical spondylotic myelopathy effective, reliable method. Operations has become the treatment of cervical spondylotic myelopathy reliable surgical methods, for which we look back on the anterior surgery for cervical spondylotic myelopathy patients the effect of evaluation and to more positive at surgery in the treatment of cervical spondylotic myelopathy in effect.Methods: This paper reviews in our hospital from January 2005 to March 2007 among 32 cases of cervical spondylotic myelopathy by anterior surgery in patients with an analysis of a single gap of one or two gaps, mainly from the spinal cord compression in front of the line anterior decompression and bone graft fixation in 32 cases of cervical spondylotic myelopathy patients by phone, out-patient follow-up, etc., 32 cases received follow-up data to assess its efficacy.Results: 32 cases, male 27 cases, five cases of women. Aged 39-72 years old, average 53.4 years old. Segmental lesions: 15 cases of a single space, double space in 17 cases. All 32 cases of spinal cord-type, is mainly expressed in 27 cases of limb numbness, double-grip strength decreased, the activities of both lower limbs failed, and a sense of foot cotton. Unilateral or bilateral brachial II triceps knee, ankle reflex active, unilateral or bilateral Hoffman sign and positive sign Babinskin. There are five cases of varying degrees of limb muscle atrophy and pathological changes following varying degrees of flat feeling and decreased urine retention.Conclusion: The anterior cervical spine surgery is the treatment of cervical spondylotic myelopathy surgery an effective way to seriously ill patients with different levels of the two groups was no significant difference in efficacy, but also further clinical observations, in six months or less from the effect of surgery better, with the extended course of disease, the surgical results obviously deteriorated.
