| Objective Investigate the factors of the quality of life about senile dementia patients in Taiyuan.Provide an idea for clinical comprebensive treatment and establishing measure through explore its risk factors and study the correlation between society support and the quality of life among senile dementia patients.Moreover make fore slowing the development of senile dementia and improve their quality of life.Methods Unmatch case-control study was applied to 100 senile dementia patients and 100 controls.The 100 senile dementia patients were determined through clinical diagnosis(MMSE score 8-22 points) in Taiyuan City center Hospital.The 100 controls were from the same period in our hospital checup center over the age of 60 healthy elderly(non-mental disorders, Alzheimer's,cognitive impairment,as well as acute and chronic disorders such as hypertension, coronary heart disease,diabetes,etc.) Data collection uses questionnaire which include the general questionnaire,the society support rating scale designed by Xiao Shuiyuan and Alzheimer's Quality of Life Scale.SPSS13.0 set up the database whitch was used for statistical analysisResults(1)The social support research results suggested that social support score of Alzheimer's patients(case group) were lower than the control group(t=-3.384,P＜0.05),Among them,subjective support and objective support were lower than the control group(t=-3.762,P＜0.05;t=-3.218,P＜0.05).In the social support application dimension was nosignificant difference(t=-0.172,P＞0.05).senile dementia patients with the quality of life score of cases and control groups were statistically significant differences(t=16.27,P＜0.001).(2)The single-factor analysis with the quality of life impact of senile dementia patients showed that different age,marriage,caring for,the occupation of patients with senile dementia have differences in quality of life scores.The quality of life scored lower as the patients'age increases, the Living Quality Score of the married senile dementia patients is greater than the single and widowed,The comparisons between spouse and the other groups were different,nanny attending was different from relatives attending,the quality of life of senile dementia patients attended by there children was higher than the unattended.The multiple regression results of quality of life about senile dementia patients indicated, senile dementia patients with the quality of life factors and their role in the size followed by occupation,age and caregiver.Age regression coefficient was negative.the greater the age,the poorer the quality of life;the regression coefficient of occupation was positive,the quality of life of the latter was better than the former. (3)The correlation analysis between social support and quality of life in senile dementias patients showed,the home,marriage,quality of life scores,the overall feel of life of senile dementia patients were correlated with social support scores(r=0.238,P＜0.01;r=0.287,P＜0.01;r=0.275,P＜0.01;r=0.315,P＜0.01).Living conditions,family was positive correlated with the objective support(r=0.213,P＜0.05;r=0.206,P＜0.05).Home,marriage,quality of life scores,the overall feel had a positive correlation with the subjective life support(r=0.259,P＜0.01;r=0.289,P＜0.01;r=0.324,P＜0.01;r=0.283,P＜0.01).For control group,memory and family were correlated with social support scores(r=0.338, P＜0.01;r=0.245,P＜0.05);there was a correlation between memory and subjective support scores(r=0.330,P＜0.01),there was a correlation between the capacity of enjoyment and subjective support scores(r=-0.252,P＜0.05);living conditions assumed a positive correlation with the objective(r=0.212,P＜0.05),the capacity of enjoyment and objective scores assumed a negative correlation(r=-0.321,P＜0.01).(4)The single factor analysis about the factors of senile dementia occurring showed:occupation, age,highest level of education,medical expenses were statistically significant differences between case group and control goup,economic status,gender,favourer and living conditions were different between case group and control goup.The non-conditional logistic regression analysis results of senile dementia showed that:age was possible risk factor for senile dementia;occupation,medical expenses,highest level of education were possible protective factors for senile dementia,the order of affecting was"occupational＞medical expenses＞highest level of education".Conclusion(1)The senile dementia patient group lack of social support,their quality of life is lower than the control group.It is supposed to increase care and love to senile dementia patients and take care for their living.(2)The correlation between social support and quality of life among senile dementia patients was positive.Attaching weight to social support in senile dementia patients can improve their quality of life.Patients need social understanding and encourage.(3)The factors of the quality of life in senile dementia patients are age,occupation and caregiver.The caregiver factor is the greatest role.It revealed that senile dementia patients have a strong dependence in their lives.(4)The happening of senile dementia is affected by many factors,including age,highest level of education,occupations as their risk factors for senile dementia.It should be control from these areas to slow down the process of senile dementia and improve their quality of life. |
