Objective To detect the distribution of IgG and IgM in nucleus pulposus of herniated lunbar intervertebral disc due to damp-heat. To analyze therelationship between the pain and IgG, IgM. And to explore the pathogenesis of patients. Methods Nucleus pulposus samples from 30 herniated lunbar intervertebral disc due to damp-heat were collected. Visual analogue scale(VAS) and Straight leg raising test of the patients were recorded before operation. The patientswere grouped as broken and integrated group according to the information ofposterior longitudinal ligament which was observed in operation. The distribution of IgG and IgM in nucleus pulposus was detected by immunohistochemistry.Results1. In 30 Disc samples of herniated lunbar intervertebral disc due to damp-heat, there were found IgG, IgM positive expression. There was a significant that there were more samples with IgG in quassation group (86. 4%) than integrity group(25%). There was a significant that there were more samples with IgM in quassation group(91.8%) than integrity group(12.5%).2. Both of IgG and IgM expression was positively related to the VAS. 3. Both of IgG and IgM expression was negative related to straight leg raising test.4. There was no correlation between the extent of lunbar intervertebral disc and straight leg raising test. Conclusions The sequestered antigen in nucleus pulposus, such asâ… ,â…¡-type collagen , glycoprotein and so on, was in contact with the blood circulation, which can cause a strong immune response, leading to inflammation, which is the main reason for causing pain, and more severe autoimmune inflammation, more intense The pain...
