The Clinical Observation Of Treating Constipation After Apoplex With Warming Acupuncture

ObjectiveTo find out an effective method of treating the constipation after apoplex through the clinical research on treating it with warming acupuncture.The effect is evaluated by the TCM diagnostic critia,TCM effect standard and main symptoms scale of constipation.MethodA total of 60 cases,suffered from consitipation after apoplexy were randomly divided into treatment group(treating with warming acupuncture) and the control group(treating with acupuncture only),treating them with Tianshu (ST25),Shangjuxu(ST37),Zusanli(ST36) and Zhigou(SJ6).After sterilizing the local skin area,puncture the acupoints quickly with the NO.30 1.5-2 cun Huatuo stainless steel needles,90°with the skin.Lift,thrust and twist the needles with even reinforcing-reducing method until the qi arrives.Then,put a piece of papar sized 8cm*8cm on the skin,a 2cm long moxa-cone on the top of the handle of the needle,and light the moxa-cone.When the moxa-cone burnt out,clean the ash.Retent the needles for 20-30 mimutes before the needle-withdrawal.Then,ask the patient to lie down in prone posture,and puncture Dachangshu(BL25).There is once everyday and seven days each course, two days interval between the courses,totally two courses.The change was evaluated by the clinical symptoms and scores after the 1st course and the 2^nd course respectively.SPSS13.0 is used for data analysis.Measurement data is tested by t-test,and numeration data is tested by x²-test or Radit-test.Result1.The curative effect is not affected significantly by the patients' age, gender,and the types of apoplex.2.There is no significant difference(P>0.05) between two groups in the first defecation with t-test,but most of the patients have defecation in both groups.3.After the 1^st course,there is no significant difference(P>0.05) between the two groups in the effect with radit-test.After the 2^nd course,the treating group is more effective than the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate is 96.7%in the treating group and 86.7%in the control group.4.There is significant difference(P<0.05) between pretherapy and post-treatment of the 1^st course in both groups with t-test.There is significant difference(P<0.05) between pretherapy and post-treatment of the 2nd course in both groups t-test.After one course,there is no significant difference(P>0.05) between two groups t-test.There is significant difference (P<0.05) between two groups after two courses t-test.ConclusionWarming acupuncture can improve the symptoms of constipation after apoplex and it is better than acupuncture only.It is valuable to apply in the clinic.
