Preliminary Formulation And Appraising Of The Primary Osteoporosis Patient's Life-of-quality Scale

Objective:To make a scale of life-of-quality which is suitable for the domestic primary osteoporosis patients.And to evaluate its reliability, validity and relevance.Methods:From January 2008 to March 2009,200 primary osteoporosis patients and 200 not-osteoporosis persons of clinic and hospital treatment were selected.And to appraise their life-of-quality by using the scale which is based on the SF-36 and WHOQOL-100 scales(Chinese edition)to do the questionnaire survey.And to do statistics analysis.Results:Finally,we issued 150 copies of the scale to each group,of which patients with primary osteoporosis group recovery 142 copies,of which 130 valid copies,recovery was 94.7%,86.7%efficient,and patients with not-osteoporosis group recovery 147 copies,of which 140 valid copies,recovery was 98%,93.3%efficient.110 cases are male and 160 cases are women.The oldest is 88-year-old and the youngest is 56-year-old.The longest course is 24 years, the minimum one is 1 year.The statistical analysis show that the basic characteristics of the two groups had no significant difference.Divided into four dimensions of the scale for statistical analysis:physical,psychological, independence,social relationships,primary osteoporosis group results show: the correlation coefficient between the dimensions and total scores as follows:0.643,0.661,0.848,0.516,which shows that the inter-dimension are more closely related to.The cronbachαis 0.764,the results show that the scale contains approximately 76.4%of the contents of quality-of-life which are able to respond to patients with primary osteoporosis,so it has higher credibility.In the results of comparison with non-osteoporosis quality-of-life in patients,the t test results by comparing two sets of data are:t=26.343,P＜0.01.Therefore,the quality-of-life of two groups of persons have significant difference.The scale has significant discriminant validity. Conclusion:In the evaluation of patients with primary osteoporosis on quality of life,the scale have good reliability,validity and repeatability.It can be used to evaluate patients with primary osteoporosis therapeutic effects of Chinese medicine.
