Study On Quality Of Life Scale In Patient With Advance Lung Cancer

Object: To develop a Quality of Life Scale in Patients with Advanced Lung Cancer, and thevalidity reliability and responsiveness were analyzed.Method: 100 cases of patients with advanced lung cancer were chosen and randomlydivided into two groups, 50 cases were treated with Chinese herbs, another 50 cases weretreated with chemotherapy. The quality of life for the 100 patients with advanced lungcancer was measured before and after therapy by QOL-AL and FACT-L simultaneously,and the validity, reliability and responsiveness were analyzed.Results: The QOL-AL is of better validity, reliability and responsiveness, and the totalscore is higher than FACT-L (P＜0.05, Chronbach sαcoefficient＞0.70, r＞0.60).Aftertherapy, score in QOL-AL of group treated with Chinese herbs is higher than group treatedwith chemotherapy.Conclusion: QOL-AL could not only measure the community of quality of life for patientswith advanced lung cancer, but also body the typical symptom of TCM.And the items aremore suitable for Chinese. QOL-AL is better than FACT-L for complete measurements ofquality of life for patients of advanced lung cancer with Chinese herbs or chemotherapy.And QOL-AL is more responsive and especially suitable in evaluating Chinese medicineefficacy.
