Objective To observe the damage of Severe obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome in patients' cochlea. Methods We have chosen20 patients with OSAHS and other 16 normal persons without snoring as comparison. In the acoustic cabin(noise<20Dbspl),we checked this 2 groups' frequency in pure-tone audiometry, transiently evoked atoacoustic emissions(TEOAE),ditortion-product otoacoustic emissions(DPOAE) and auditory brainstem response(ABR),recorded the results and analyzed all the data with SPSS 11.5.Results 1.There was no obvious difference in 2 groups' listening valve in pure-tone audiometry frequency with 125-4000Hz,while in high-frequency(4000-8000Hz), average listening valve of patients with OSAHS was obviously different from another group(t=2.458,P<0.05);2.In the frequence of 500 Hz to 8000 Hz,the rate of DPOAE in OSAHS group was obviously lower than the other group, and there was obvious differences between 2 groups(P<0.01),the average rate of OSAHS group in this frequency random is 42.1%while the average rate of the other group was above 90%and nearly 100%in frequency over 1000Hz,and the average rate was 92%in frequency of 500Hz to 8000Hz;3.In the test of ABR,the latencies of OSAHS group in waveâ… ,â…¤were obviously longer than the other group(P<0.01),in waveâ… -â…¢,â…¢-â…¤,â… -â…¤,the latencies were no differences between 2 groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Severe OSAHS can result in damage in cochlea;OSAHS can lengthen ABR's latencies in each waves mainly in waveâ… ,â…¤with severe damage in cochlea.
