ObjectiveHearing-loss is one of the main problems affecting the living quality of people .In recent years, clinical questionnaires indicate that the persons with obviously Hearing loss were 7%-10%.Materials1,We selected 50 patients, including 47 males and 3 females whose age between 28 and 55. All of them have accepted UPPP in our hospital. The standards to be selected:①according to the standards in the 2002 Hangzhou conversation, selected the patients who have accepted UPPP in our hospital and have no complication ,ignoring their sex;②selected the patients who have no hyperglycemia and the blood pressure bellow 140/ 90 mm Hg(1 mm Hg = 0.0133 Kpa) (including those who accepted drug control);③selected those who in the history of past illness ,have no hearing loss, no long-term noise contact, no cranial illness and no ototoxics drugs and congenital disease which lead to hearing loss.④selected those whose tympanogram plot is "A" shape.2,Control group: selecte 20 normal volunteers who have never snored, according to the standards②③④in the former paragraph.3,laboratory apparatus: MS-SW-2000C monitoring of respiration system in Beijing Ming En Yin Zhi Company; acoustic emission meter in American Zhi Ting Company; GSI 61 CLINICAL AUDIOMETER acoumeter of GRASON-STADLER; GSI2000 TYMPSTAR 2 pattern middle ear analysator of GRASON-STADLER. MethodWe choose 50 patients with OSAHS and 20 normal persons as control in random. They were tested with conventional audiometry (250~4000Hz) , extended high frequency audiometry (4000~12000Hz) , transiently evoked acoustic emissions (TEOAE), distortion-product otoacoustic emissions(DPOAE) and acoustic immitance . According the preoperative a week, postoperative of one month, after three month, after six month in the acoustic cabin(noise<20dB SPL),and the results were recorded. We analysed all the dates with SPSS 12.0 .Results1. TEOAE detection rate :OSAHS group compared with the control groups .The differences of them were statistically obvious ( P < 0.05).Postoperative of three month ,the TEOAE detection rate of OSAHS group was 85%, compared with the same group in preoperative. The differences of them were statistically obvious (P < 0.05).2. Frequency chart display ,the frequency energy of OSAHS group focus on 0.5 ~2.0 KHz mostly. The control group focus on 0.5~2.0 KHz mostly. Present itself with single apex and twin apex shape.3. TEOAE detection rate :OSAHS group compared with the control group .The differences of them were statistically obvious (P < 0.05). Postoperative of three month the TEOAE detection rate of OSAHS group was compared with the same group in preoperative. The differences of them were statistically obvious (P < 0.05).4. the amplitudes of DPOAE: compare the gentle group and weightily group in preoperative of OSAHS .Their was statistically obvious (P < 0.05).Even the amplitudes of DPOAE in gentle group declined to control group in 2000,4000,6000,8000Hz. The amplitudes of DPOAE in weightily group declined to control group in 500~8000Hz.5. The amplitudes of DPOAE of postoperative of three month compared with the preoperative of OSAHS , their was increase except 500 Hz . Their was statistically obvious (P < 0.05) in 1,2,4,6,8 KHz. The amplitudes of DPOAE of postoperative of three month compared with the postoperative of one month of OSAHS, there was statistically obvious (P < 0.05).Namely, their was no distinct change in postoperative of one month of OSAHS and preoperative of OSAHS. It have obvious improve tile postoperative of three month of OSAHS .there have no difference in postoperative of three month and six month of OSAHS . It displayed the amplitudes of DPOAE of postoperative of six month have no improve than three month of OSAHS.6. There were no significant differences in threshold of convention for each frequencies (250~4000Hz) between the two groups (P < 0. 05).7. The high frequency thresholds increased obviously in OSAHS groups (P < 0.05). The threshold of high frequency increased along with the frequency. The gap with control group is great. The same time the discrepancy in weightily group of OSAHS and control group is more distinctness than in gently group of OSAHS.8. compare with the high frequency thresholds, there was no significant differences (P>0.05), whether postoperative of OSAHS and preoperative of OSAHS. Namely, there was no distinct change postoperative of OSAHS.ConclusionOSAHS will affect auditory function; The level of hearing-impairment in OSAHS patients concerned with patient's condition light and heavy press;Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty operation can improve the auditory function invariably.
