Research On Forensic Medicine Application Of Mental Disorder Caused By Head Injury

Objective:To investigate the characteristics of epidemiology and injury feature on mental disorder caused by head injury.To analysis injury degree,disability assessment and related factors of mental disorder,to provide scientific evidence for Forensic Medicine identification of mental disorder caused by Head Injury.Method:408 cases of mental disorder caused by head injury in kunming from 2007 to 2008 were collected for statistics analysis study.Results:In the 408 cases with mental disorder caused by head injury,including 198 cases of injury degree evaluation(48.5%), disability evaluation 148 cases(36.5%) and psychosis evaluation(15.2%).The epidemiological features of injured persons:there are much more males,young, workers and farmers,minority ethnic group(18.87%),the proportion of primary and junior secondary education level are at most.The peaks of 295 Injury cases appeared separately in road traffic accidents(72.3.%),most of injuries were pedestrians (38.31%) with injury on head or other body parts.Injury on lobus frontalis and temporal lobe are common.The primary type of mental disorder are intelligence damage syndrome and cerebral trauma syndrome.(1)Results of Identification of injury degree:125 cases(63.13%) with serious injury,48 cases(24.24%) with minor injury, 25 cases(12.63%) with slight Injury,recombination craniocerebral injury was at most. The most injury accidents cases were accredited within one month(72.70%).(2) Results of disability evaluation:Clinical analysis of injury showed that 148 persons were disable(57.8%).Most of the cases of the overall grade distribution for the disabled were X grade,the proportion of patients with mild head injury are at most. The time limit of disability assessment was more than half a year after injuried.(3) The IQ measurement results of 36 cases of mental disorder caused by head injury demonstrate:Minimum is 34,maximum is 109,the median is 72.61.The post-medical treatment costs assessment was mostly in 3-4 months.Conclusion:In the group of mental disorder caused by head injury,Young,middle aged and farmers are at most with low level of education,and there is a certain proportion of ethnic minorities.We must concrete analysis specific cases,because more injure and pedestrian in traffic accidents and traumatic condition is mainly serious injury,degree of disability is mainly mild disability.Intelligent damage is commonly founded,time limit for disability assessment is usually more than half a year.Identification of injury, disability assessment should take into relevant factors,that is,the extent of head injury,symptoms and types of mental disorder,personality changes,intelligence damage,as well as relevant factors,such as time limit of the assessment.
