| Objectives:(1) to survey the anxiety level and health condition of maintenance hemodialysis patients.(2) to analyze the relationship between anxiety level and heath condition of maintenance hemodialysis patients.(3) explore the effects of the lower anxiety level on the health condition and the nursing intervention model.Methods:Random sampling method was applied in this study,120 maintenance hemodialysis patients were inquired from 2008.06 to 2008.12 in the hemodialysis unit of Tianjin First Center Hospital.General condition form,short form 36 health survey and self-rating anxiety scales were adopted.Physiologica and biochemical index were collected in the meantime.The baseline was evaluated on the collected data,found the anxiety level and the health condition in the maintenance hemodialysis patients and analyze the relationship of them.70 anxiety patients were randomly divided into 2 groups:35 experiment group and 35 control group.Experiment groups were treated with progressive muscle relaxation except for everyday routine nursing,progressive muscle relaxation were carried on face to face by the same investigator in the personal ward,the training last for 30 min every time,once a week,and for 8 weeks.Control group were treated only with everyday routine nursing.Two groups were inquired of by short form 36 health survey and self-rating anxiety scales.Physiologica and biochemical index were collected in the meantime.All original information were analyzed with SPSS13.0 statistics software in computer,measurement data were epressed as(?)±s,t test was adopted to statistics analysis,and to the comparison before and after hemodialysis in every group and between two groups,values of P＜0.05 were considered to be significant.Result:(1) 61.67%maintenance hemodialysis patients were in an emotion of anxiety,which was composed of 32.50%mild anxiety,21.67%moderate anxiety and 7.50%heavy anxiety.(2) Life quality about health was low in the maintenance hemodialysis patients,the relationship between anxiety and the life quality about health was significant(P＜0.05).(3) The test indexes reflect the patients' health condition directly or indirectly.(K+) level of 65.8%patients is higher than the upper limit of appropriate level.(5.5 mmol/L).The(Ca2+) level of 72.5%patients is lower than lower limit of appropriate level(2.25 mmol/L).(PO43-) level of 72.5%patients is higher than the upper limit of appropriate level(1.6 mmol/L).58.3%the ratio between weight increase and net weight is higher than appropriate level(5%) during the period of hemodialysis.The difference of two group's indexes of(BUN),(PO43-),(K+), (IWGR%) before hemodialysis doesn't have statistical meaning and can be used to do the comparison.The(Ca2+) level of experiment group is much higher than that of comparison group before hemodialysis after 8weeks nursing intervention(p＜0.05 ). While the level of(PO43-),(K+),(BUN),(IWGR) of the experiment group is much lower than that of comparison group(p＜0.05 ).(4) The negative effect of anxiety was alleviated by providing the patients nursing intervention.The difference shows statistical meaning(P＜0.001).That shows the nursing intervention can alleviate the patients anxiety and improve their health condition.(5) The maintenance hemodialysis patients are living a low-quality life.The experiment group's nine-area level of physical function,role- physical,bodily pain,general health,vitality,social function,role-emotional,mental health are all higher than that of comparison group after 8weeks nursing intervention(p＜0.05).Conclusions:Maintenance hemodialysis patients suffer from poor mental health condition because of commonly existing of anxiety among patients.Anxiety is relativ -e to test index and mental and physical health condition of patients.It also affect the living condition of patients.It's feasible and effective to provide maintenance hemodi -alysis patients nursing intervention.We can alleviate maintenance hemodialysis patients' anxiety and improve their health condition through nursing intervention.
