Abstract/Summary:
Objective:To observe the effect of electro-acupuncture to stimulate the meridian sinew nodal point on treating shoulder-hand syndrome about poststroke. Methods:The 60 cases of shoulder-hand syndrome about poststroke were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The 30 cases of treatment group were given to acupuncture the meridian sinew nodal point and electroacupuncture. The 30 cases of control group were given traditional acupuncture therapy. The scores of the two groups which were about upper limb movement, pain and edema before and after treatment were through Fugl-Meyer motor function score table and visual analogue scales(VAS), accordingly to observe the effect of the treatment scheme. Results:The scores of the two groups about the upper limb Fugl-Meyer motor function scores and the visual measurement scores on pain and edema is no significant difference before the treatment,P>0.05.The two groups both improve the upper limb Fugl-Meyer motor function scores, and both decrease the visual measurement scores on pain and edema,P<0.05.Therefore,the two therapeutic methods can both ameliorate the clinical symptoms of hand-shoulder syndrome, but the therapy group obviously have an advantage to the control group. Conclusions:It can effectively ameliorate upper limb motor function, release pain and edema through electroacupuncture acupuncture meridian sinew nodal point.Thereby it can improve the patient' s quality of life...
