Clinical Investigations On The Treatment Of Primary Dysmenorrhea Of Congealing Cold And Blood Stasis With Tuina Therapy

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Tuina on treating Primary Dysmenorrhea (PD) of congealing cold and blood stasis,and to explore its mechanism of action.Method: Choose 80 patients who belong to PD of congealing cold and blood stasis.Divided them randomly into test group (40 cases,treated with Tuina), and control group(40 cases,treated with Shaofuzhuyu Capsule).A course contained 3 menstrual cycles.Before and after treatment,the therapeutic effects on PD,TCM symptoms,the change of the uterine blood circulation and the blood rheology would be compared.Results: The therapeutic effects on PD is significantly different between 2 groups (P<0.05).The TCM symptom of the test group and control group is significantly different (P<0.05).After the Tuina treatment,the indexes of blood rheology were significantly decreased (P<0.05 or P<0.01).The uterine artery blood flow and the average flow speed were both increased,while the PI, RI, A/B were all decreased (P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion: Tuina indeed has a good therapeutic effect on this disease. The improvement of clinical symptoms is obvious.The effect may be achieved through improving blood viscosity and microcirculation of pelvis cavity.
