Primary dysmenorrhea is a common Gynecology disease whose prime symptoms include periodical belly-ache, lumbo-saeral> even pang faint with other symptoms such as encephalalgia, dizziness, lack of strength, nausea, vomitus, diarrhea and so on. Even effecting studies ,works, and lives.It becomes one of difficult and complicated cases of Gynecology illness. This article on the pathogency and therapeutic development of this diease from both sides of modern medicine arid Traditional Chinese Medicine checks up lots of materials and makes systematic details. In order to prove the curative effect of warming the channels and dissipating cold, transforming stasis and relieving pain . We choose 60 patients who belong to primary dysmenorrhea of congealing cold and blood stasis .We share 30 cases as treatment group and 30 as control group. The treatment group was cured by "Wen Bao Zhi Tong Yin"and the control group was treated by "Ai Fu Nuan Gong Tang".We observe the therapeutic effectiveness, symptom's general grades and symptom's improvement rate after treatment.The results show that "Wen Bao Zhi Tong Yin" can eliminate or relieve clearly symptoms of dysmenorrhea. Its effect is prior to the control group .This study not only adopts some clinical observation indexs,but also evaluates objectively the therapeutic effectiveness of Chinese medicine and makes some studies to pathogency.All these apply theoretic basis for treating dysmenorrhea.
