Clinical Study On She Zhi Huang Ling Decoction Combined With Radiotherapy In The Treatment Of Postoperative Patients With Malignant Glioma

Objective: The study is to investigate the effect of Chinese decoction She Zhi Huang Ling Decoction(SD) combined with radiotherapy for malignant glioma. Compared with radiotherapy alone.Methods: 56 patients with maglinant glioma were divided into treatment group and control group randomly, 29 cases in treatment group were given SD and radiotherapy treatment, 27 cases in control group were given radiotherapy alone. The response rate of the glioma, blood indexes, karnofsky score,The median recurrence time of the glioma, the side effects and toxicological effects in radiotherapy ,The living status and survival rates were summarized for 12 months in order to observe the change before and after the treatments.Results:In the SD plus radiotherapy group,the total response rate was 69.0%.While in the control group, the total response rate was 33.3%(P<0.05), better than control group remarkably.The median recurrence time of the glioma in the treatment group and control group were 15.35 and 10.22 months,Clinical status improvement rates were 51.7%and 37.0%,The 6-month and 12-month survival rates of 2 groups showed no difference.Conclusion: SD combined with radiotherapy can inhibit the growth of glioma, improve the patients'clinical symptom, and reduce the side effects and toxicological effects in radiotherapy.Significantly improve patients'living quality.
