Expression And Significance Of Kiss-1 And MMP-9 In Ovarian Serous Cystadenocarcinoma

ObjectiveTo investigate the significance of Kiss-1 and Matrix Metalloproteinase-9 in ovarain serous cystadenocarcinoma by detecting the expression of Kiss-1 and MMP-9 in ovarain serous cystadenocarcinoma,borderline serous cystadenocarcinoma,serous cystadenocarcinoma and normal ovarain tissue,and analyzing the association between the two factors.MethodsImmunohistochemical methods were used to detect the protein expression of Kiss-1 and MMP-9 in paraffin-enbedded specimens of 30 ovarain serous cystadenocarcinoma,14 borderline serous cystadenocarcinoma,12 serous cystadenocarcinoma and 16 normal ovarain tissue.The correlation of the two factors with the clinical features of ovarain serous cystadenocarcinoma was evaluate by chi-square test,and the relationship of the two factors was analyzde by Spearman rank correlation test.Results1.The positive percentage of expressions of Kiss-1 in ovarain serous cystadenocarcinoma(43.3%) higher then serous cystadenocarcinoma(16.7%) and normal ovarain tissue(12.5%),respectively,there is statistical significantly between them (P＜0.05).The positive percentage of expressions of Kiss-1 in ovarain serous cystad-enocarcinoma (43.3%) higher then in borderline serous cystadenocarcinoma(28.6%),but no statistical significantly between them(P＞0.05).2.The positive percentage of expressions of Kiss-1 in different stage of ovarain serous cystadenocarcinoma was stageⅠ-Ⅱ11.1%,stageⅢ-Ⅳ57.1%.There was significantly difference between stageⅠ-ⅡandⅢ-Ⅳ(P＜0.05).The positive percentage of expressions of Kiss-1 in high,middle and low histological grading ovarain serous cystadenocarcinoma were 50%,43.8%and 25%,and there was no significantly different among them(P＞0.05).The positive percentage of expressions of Kiss-1 in＜50 years group and≥50 years group were 42.9%,43.8%,and there was no significantly different among them(P＞0.05).3.The positive percentage of expressions of MMP-9 in ovarain serous cystaden-ocarcinoma (86.7%) higher then borderline serous cystadenocarcinoma(35.7%),serous cystadenocarcinoma(8.3%) and normal ovarain tissue(0%),respectively,there is statistical significantly among them(P＜0.05).4.The positive percentage of expressions of MMP-9 in different stage of ovarain serous cystadenocarcinoma was stageⅠ-Ⅱ66.7%,stageⅢ-Ⅳ95.2%.There was significantly difference between stageⅠ-ⅡandⅢ-Ⅳ(P＜0.05).The positive percentage of expressions of MMP-9 in high,middle and low histological grading ovarain serous cystadenocarcinoma were 80%,87.5%and 100%,and there was no significantly different among them(P＞0.05).The positive percentage of expressions of MMP-9 in＜50 years group and≥50 years group were 85.7%,87.5%,and there was no significantly different between them(P＞0.05).5.The expression of Kiss-1 have no abviously relationship with MMP-9 by Spearman rank correlation test(r_s=-0.145,P＞0.05).Conclusion1.The positive expressions rate of Kiss-1 and MMP-9 in ovarain serous cystadenocarcinoma significantly higner then borderline serous cystadenocarcinoma,serous cystadenocarcinomaand normal ovarain tissue,suggested that Kiss-1 and MMP-9 possibly played an important role in the genesis and development of ovarain serous cystadenocarcinoma.2.The expression of Kiss-1 and MMP-9 had significant relation with clinical stage but they had no relation with the histological grading and age.So they may be the important reference indexs of predicting biological behavior and valuable targets of the treatment of ovarain serous cystadenocarcinoma.3.The expression of Kiss-1 have no abviously relationship with MMP-9 in ovarain serous cystadenocarcinoma.It may be because of the few of the sampal.It should be further study.
