Clinical Observation Of Bushenhuoxuexiezhuo Treatment In Elderly Patients With Chronic Renal Failure, Azotemia Period

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the mid-aged and aged patients suffering the disease of Chronic Reral Failure,in the period of azotemia,who were treated by the method of tonifying the kidney,promoting the blood circulation and expelling the turbidity.Methods:80 patients were selected from the out-patient and in-patiend department cases in Hubei province hospital of TCM from March of 2006 to February of 2009,who were diagnosed definitly the desease of Chronic Renal Failure,in period of azotemia,with the age between 40-70,and whose syndrome differentiation in TCM was called deficiency of kidney.These patients were divided into two groups:at random the test group and the control group.Each group had 40 cases.The foundamental treatment with western medicine was given the control group.The preseriptions that tonify the kidney,promote the blood circulation and dispel the turbidiy were added to the test group while treated with the same western medicine above(Shudil5g,Shanyao15g,Shanzhuyu15g,Fuling15g,Zexie10g,Xianlingpi15g, Huainiuxi10g,Danshen30g,Chenpi10g,Zhishi10g Zhidahuang6g).Dircetions:Boil the Chinese herbs together,discard the dregs and reserve the juice 400ml.Take them twice a day,200ml each time.The course of treatment was one month.Three months together were needed.We were to observe the patients' Renal function(Bun,Scr),Hb,Rbc,lipid(TC,TG),Uric acid and the change of the Chinese syndrome.Then a irregular visit aeter period of treatment was needed in order to compare the decreasing rate of Renal function between the two groups and marks of clinical symptoms.Results:â‘ The total effective rate and markedly-effective rate of the test group was respectively 95%and 55%,compared with 80%and 17.5%of the control group.There were significant differences between the two groups.â‘¡The marks of clinical symptoms,levels of BUN,Scr,TC,TG,UA of the test group after treatment were much lower than before,and the levels of Hb,RBC increased remarkedly than before.There were significant differences comparing with the control group after treatment.â‘¢The way of tonifying the kidney,promting the blood circulation and expelling the turbidity had no bad effect on patients.There was no abnormal change during the treatmeng period,which proved it secure and practicable to cure the mid-aged aged patients suffering the disease of Chronic Renal Failure,in period of Azotemia.Conclusion:â‘ The feature of pathogenesis of early CRF was deficiency of kidney.Therefore,it was in accordance wih the foundamental theory of Bianzheng Lunzhi to adopt the treatments that tonify the kidney,promote the blood circulation and expel the turbidity,to cure the disease,which made a balanced combination with tonifying and expelling.â‘¡To cure CRF by means of tonifying the kidney,promoting the blood circulation and expelling the turbidity could in some extent stabilize the patients' renal funtion and improve patients' clinical symptoms.
