| Optical coherence tomography(OCT) is an novel tomography imaging technique,it can perform a transect tomography of retinal and choroid tissue with the capability of fast,noninvasive and high resolution .It can also measure and analyze the retinal and choroid microstructure objectively . OCT was applied in the clinical medical in 90th of last centrury ,and now it has become one of the most important examination method. OCT has a significant value in diagnosing and examing macular disease,and it has a lot of research progress as being used more and more recently. The theory of OCT's application progress in analizing the tomography,diagnosing and investigating the mechanism and treatment effect of three macular diseases-idiopathic macular holes, age-related macular degeneration and central exudative chorioretinopathy are described.
