The Expression And Clinical Significane Of Survivin And C-erbB-2 In Endometrial Carcinoma | | Posted on:2010-10-16 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:B Wu | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2144360275464445 | Subject:Gynecological oncology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective To investigate the role of inhibitor of apoptosis modulator Survivin and protooncogene c-erbB-2 and the clinical significance of their expression during carcinogenesis and development of endometrial carcinomas by contrasting correlation between them and efficiency of associated detection and single detection.Methods The sample was obtained from Pathology Department of Tai'an Central Hospital in Shandong Province during from 2004.1 to 2008.11, which was consisted of 36 cases of normal endometrium,36 atypical hyperplasia endometrium and 46 endometrial carcinomas.According to surgical-pathologic staging enacted by FIGO in 2000,the sample of constitutional endometrial carcinomas included 20 cases ofâ… group,14â…¡group and 12â…¢+â…£group;16 cases of well differentiated adenocarcinoma, 18 moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma and 12 adenocarcinoma anaplastic;18 cases of the carcinoma without invasion in myometrium or invasive degree≤1/2 and 28 invasive degree>1/2;35 cases of no metastases and 11 having metastasised.The sample of atypical hyperplasia of endometrium consisted of 5 cases of mild,9 midrange and 22 severe hyperplasia.We tested the expression and disposition of Survivin and c-erbB-2 by S-P immumohistochemical technique in endometrium selected.Results 1.The expression of Survivin and c-erbB-2 protein increased gradually from normal endometrium,endometrial atypical hyperplasia to endometrial carcinoma(endometrial atypical hyperplasia vs normal endometrium with P<0.05,and endometrial carcinoma vs normal endometrium with P<0.01,while endometrial carcinoma vs endometrial atypical hyperplasia with P>0.05).2.In endometrial carcinoma,the expression of Survivin and c-erbB-2 in surgical-pathologic stagingâ…¡group andâ…¢+â…£group were significantly different from the stageâ… group (P<0.05).The expression of Survivin and c-erbB-2 in histological G2,G3 grade groups of endometrial carcinoma were significantly different from G1 grade group(P<0.05 or 0.01).The expression of them were not relation with the degree of carcinoma invasion in myometrium(P>0.05).3.The sensitivity was higher by associated detection than by single detection of Survivin and c-erbB-2 in endometrial carcinomas(P<0.05).4.The expression of Survivin was correlation with c-erbB-2 in endometrial carcinoma.Conclusion The abnormal expression of Survivin and c-erbB-2 were likely to have synergistic effect to some extent during carcinogenesis and development of endometrial carcinomas;Detection of the expression of Survivin and c-erbB-2 could supply some clues for the malignant degree of endometrial carcinoma and the prognosis of patients;The acuity and sensitivity to predict the occurrence of endometrial carcinomas can be raised by jointly detecting abnormal expression of Survivin and c-erbB-2. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Survivin, c-erbB-2, Endometrial carcinoma, Immmohistochemistry | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
