Objectives:1.To probe the clinical significance of the changes of heart rate variability(HRV) and heart function index(NYHA classify,EF value(%),BNP value)in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF)of different pattern of syndromes.2.To probe the clinical significance of the changes between heart rate variability(HRV) and heart function index(NYHA classify,EF value(%),BNP value)in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods:134 cases that had been confirmed to be CHF were from the medical records room or ward with the patients' clinical symptoms, signs and related results had been collected, and all the collected cases were saved and managed by certain data base software. The cases were divided into three groups: phlegmatic fluid obstructing lung, syndrome of deficiency of both qi and yin and syndrome of blood stasis and stagnant water, syndrome of deficiency of both qi and yang and syndrome of blood stasis and stagnant water. The cases were underwent Chi-square test,ANOVA,linear regression analysis.Results:1.The pattern of syndromes are correlated with age in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF),who are older than 70 is more likely to occurrence the syndrome of deficiency of both qi and the yin and syndrome of blood stasis and stagnant water(P<0.01);2.The pattern of syndromes are correlated with the heart function index (NYHA classify,EF value(%),BNP value)and HRV index in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF),when the the pattern of syndromes are changing among phlegmatic fluid obstructing lung, syndrome of deficiency of both qi and yin and syndrome of blood stasis and stagnant water, and syndrome of deficiency of both qi and yang and syndrome of blood stasis and stagnant water,NYHA classify and BNP value shows gradually raising trend, with the HRV index(SDNN,SDANN)and EF value(%) shows gradually falling trend(P<0.05or0.01).3.With different NYHA classify, the BNP value,HRV index and EF value(%) are different too.The more severe CHF was,the more lower the HRV index(SDNN,SDNNI) and EF value(%),with the more higher the BNP value(P<0.05or0.01).Conclusions:l.The HRV can be used to judge the severity of CHF.2.The changes of these indexes(SDNN,SDANN,NYHA classify,EF value(%) and BNP value) contribute to districting different syndrome differentiation-classifications.
