BackgroundCerebral paralysis(CP),whose incidence is 1.86‰,is one of the most common complications of wean central nervous system after controlling poliomyelitis. The rehabilitation therapies, including naturopathy, occupational therapy, medication, orthosis, etc, were used by the western medicine. These therapies can improve the motor function in childern with CP. In recent years,Jin' s three needles has been proved to be effective in improving the motor function in childern with CP.A large number of experiments have confirmed that brain in this disease is closely related to immune, and the over-expression of immune in inflammatory factors plays an important role in the pathogenesis of cerebral paralysis. Objective:We used Jin's three-needle with rehabilitation therapy to examin clinical efficacy in the Gross and Fine motor function of children with CP and the levels of IL-6(Interleukin 6),TNF-α(Tumor necrosis factor-α) in plasm.Methods60 cases of children in line with the standard of cerebral paralysis were used.By using the forward-looking controlled trial of non-blind methods, and according to the principles of voluntary parents, the first group, which is treated by Jin's three-needle with rehabilitation therapy,is eatablished as the treatment group. In the group, the treatment of Jin's three-needle is that Jin's scalp needle in the four main points, supplementing with the points by selecting meridians dialectical and case type. The treated course included 120 times of treatment of Jin's three-needle with rehabilitation therapy. The second group was stablished as the control group to receive the simple rehabilitation therapy.A individualized rehabilitation program, involving some rehabilitation therapy which were the treatment of spasm machine, hyperbaric oxygen, transcranial ultrasound therapy and so on,was developed to traning children for 2 hours per day.The course was to treat children with once a day except the Sundays and included 30 times of treatment.Gross motor function assessment scale(Gross Motor Function Measure Manual,GMFM) and Fine motor function rating scale(Peabody Development Motor Scales 2,PDMS-2) were used as the indicators of the clinical effect, and the plasm levels of IL-6 and TNF-αwere used as the laboratorial indicators. The evaluations were carried out before the treatment,in 3 months and 6 months respectively. SPSS13.0 was used for statistical analysis.ResultsClinical observation:There was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05) between the two groups before the treatment. In 3 months with the treatment,we found that the difference of the score of gross motor function was statistically significant(P<0.01),but the difference of the quotient of fine motor was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05) in their respective group. In addition, the difference between the two groups was no significant(P>0.05).As to the treatment in 6 months, the score of the gross motor function had statistically significant difference in their respective group(P<0.01) or between the two groups(P<0.05),but the quotient of fine motor had no statistically significant difference in their respective group(P>0.05) or between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared to the treatment in 3 months, the treatment group with treatment in 6 months had the tatistically significant difference(P<0.01) in the score of gross motor function.Laboratory observation:There was no significant difference between the two groups in the plasm levels of IL-6 and TNF-αbefore the treatment, nor in or between the two groups in 3 months of the treatment. For the treatment in 6 months,The plasm level of IL-6 had significant differences in(P<0.01) or between(P<0.05) the two groups, but that of TNF-αdidn't have significant differences in or between the two groups.Conclusion1.After 3 months of the treatment, both of the gross motor function of the treatment group and control group were improved, but the former was better. 2.After 6 months of treatment, there were no any improvement in the quotient of fine motor score in the treatment and control group.3.For the improvement of gross motor function in the treatment group, the treatment in 6 months was better than that in 3 months.4.After 6 months of the treatment, both the treatment group and control group, the IL-6 content may reduce, and that in the treatment group was better than the control group.5.After 6 months treatment, both the treatment group and control group failed to reduce TNF-αcontent.
