Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Cervical Vertigo By Needle-Warming Moxibustion On Du20

Objective:A clinical observation research to the therapeutic efficacy on treatment of Cervical Vertigo by Needle-warming moxibustion on Bai Hui(Du20) and acupuncture points on neck and shoulder.This study is to provide a clinical foundation for acupuncture treatment of Cervical Vertigo.Method:60 participants who were CV diagnosed patients being invited to join in the study. They were randomly picked to form two different categories:the Treatment Group(30 participants) and the Control Group(30 participants).The application of the dominant needles in the Treatment Group:needle-warming moxibustion on Du20 combining with bilateral Feng Chi(GB20),Bai lao(Extra),Experienced point,Jian Jing(GB21) and Hou Xi(SI3);whereas in the Control Group:bilateral Feng Chi(GB20),Bai lao (Extra),Experienced point,Jian Jing(GB21) and Hou Xi(SI3).The whole clinical experiment contains 12 treatments,treating 2 courses of treatment or twelve times continuously.Afterward,our result analysis are to be carrying out.The "Cervical Vertigo Symptoms and Function Evaluation Scale(ES CV)" and "The Standard of TCM Diseases and Symptoms Therapeutic Effect" are used in the measurement of therapeutic results.The ESCV includes 5 aspects:Vertigo,shoulder pain and Cervicodynia,Cephalodynia,Daily life quality,Psychological ability and social accommodating ability.Result:1.The results analysis based on "The Standard of TCM Diseases and Symptoms Therapeutic Effect":out of the total 60 participants(patients),the Treatment Group (30 participants) showed that 18 of them were totally recovered,10 claimed to have significant improvement,2 claimed the treatment effective.The total effective ratio was 93.3%.The Control Group(30 participants) result showed that 5 participants were totally recovered,3 claimed to have significant improvement,22 claimed the treatment effective.The total effective ratio was 36.7%.That indicates the Treatment Group did better in treating CV than the Control Group.2.The results base on ESCV:The average score of therapeutic effect in Treatment Group was 14.5±2.2,and the average score of therapeutic effect in Control Group was 8.5±3.1.The average score of therapeutic effect seems to be significantly higher in the Treatment Group than that of the Control Group(P＜0.01).Conclusion:The results analysis based on "Cervical Vertigo Symptoms and Function Evaluation Scale(ES CV)" and "The Standard of TCM Diseases and Symptoms Therapeutic Effect" reveal that the therapeutic efficacy of treatment formula conducting on Treatment Group is higher than that of on the Control Group.A significant improvement has been revealed to the symptom of vertigo on that of Treatment Group too.To sum up,the therapeutic efficacy of treating Cervical Vertigo by needle-warming moxibustion on Bai Hui(Du20) is batter than that of abstention from needle-warming moxibustion on Bai Hui(Du20).This indicates that we could achieve a better therapeutic result in treating Cervical Vertigo treatment by needle-warming moxibustion on Bai Hui(Du20) combining with needle stabbed on bilateral Feng Chi (GB20),Bai lao(Extra),Experienced point,Jian Jing(GB21) and Hou Xi(SI3).
