Objective 1.Through investigating the literature research last twenlty years of endometriosis both internal and external(enema) use of Chinese medicine to explore the principle of syndrome differentiation and treatment of endometriosis as well as to analyze the mechanism of treatment in TCM and modern pharmacology in diagnosis and prescription.Method Screening medical information on endometriosis about diagnosis and prescription pubulish in Biomedical journals from Jan.1989 to Dec.2008.Using EXCEL statistical software to analyze the data induced by syndrome differentiation and medication among standards-compliant literature,then summarized the regularity.Result1.Activating blood and removing stasis is the main treatment of Chinese herbal medicine of endometriosis,accounting for 56.74%,followed by method of reinforcing kidney and removing stasis 23.4%,clearing away heat and resolving blood stasis 9.22%,blood rheology 9.22%,other treatment 1.42%.2.Activating microcirculation and removing stasis medicinal herbs has the highest frequency of 95.63%in the 252 prescriptions,followed by restore deficiency herbs 68.53%.Activating microcirculation and removing stasis medicinal herbs appears 1051,has the highest frequency of 42.48%in the 2474 Chinese medicine,followed by 518 restore deficiency herbs 20.94%,which together accounted for 63.42%.3.Activating microcirculation and removing stasis medicinal herbs has the highest frequency of 96.88%in the 32 enema prescription,followed by heat clearing herbs 68.75%.Activating microcirculation and removing stasis medicinal herbs appears 142,has the highest frequency of 52.59%in the 270 Chinese medicine,followed by heat clearing herbs 21.48%,which together accounts for 74.07%.4.Clearing away heat and resolving blood stasis accounts for 9.22%,and eliminat dampness resolv phlegm herbs accounts for 42.06%,while manganese accounts for 31.35%,but the treatment for cold coagulation and blood stasis type appears seldom.5.Rhizoma curcumae,Rhizoma sparganii,Semen persicae,Radix salviae miltiorrhizae,Rhizoma corydalis,Rhizoma chuanxiong,Faeces trogopterori, Pollen typhae,Flos carthami and Hirudo are microcirculation and removing stasis medicinal herbs with a higher frequency of Chinese herbal medicine in treating endometriosis.Radix angelicae sinensis,Semen cuscutae,Herba epimedii,Radix paeoniae alba,Radix astragali,Radix glycyrrhizae,Radix dipsaci,Radix rehmanniae preparata,Radix morindae officinalis and Radix codonopsis are restore deficiency drugs with a higher frequency of Chinese herbal medicine in treating endometriosis.Rhizoma curcumae,Radix paeoniae rubra,Radix angelicae sinensis,Rhizoma sparganii,Semen persicae,Radix salviae miltiorrhizae,Rhizoma corydalis,Rhizoma cyperi,Rhizoma chuanxiong and Faeces trogopterori are drugs with a higher frequency of Chinese herbal medicine,while Rhizoma curcumae,Rhizoma sparganii,Radix paeoniae rubra, Herba potriniae,Radix salviae miltiorrhizae,Olibanum,Myrrha and Caulis sargentodoxae are drugs with a higher frequency of enema prescription in treating endometriosis.6.There are 7 herbs of activating microcirculation and removing stasis medicine which accounts for 70%,while blood cooling herbs,restore deficiency herbs and Qi smoothing herbs appears only once respectively,agent each 10% at a higher frequency of Chinese herbal medicine.There are 5 herbs of activating microcirculation and removing stasis medicinal at 62.5%, while heat clearing herbs 2 at 25%and blood cooling herbs 1 at 12.5%at a higher frequency of enema prescription.7.Drugs with a higher frequency of endometriosis treatment are goes to Liver meridian,Spleen meridian and Heart meridian.Conclusion1.Blood stasis is the basic pathogenesis of endometriosis,while activating blood and removing stasis is the major therapy.2.Accumulation of phlegm-damp in collateral is a supplement pathogenesis of endometriosis.3.Internal Chinese herbal medicine is mainly made up of activating microcirculation and removing stasis medicinal herbs and restore deficiency herbs,while enema prescription is mainly made up of activating microcirculation and removing stasis medicinal herbs and heat clearing drug as the main drugs.Compared to enema prescription is as a local therapy with reducing herbs,internal Chinese herbal medicine incarnate the concept of wholism,which is simultaneous treatment of root and tip.4.Rhizoma curcumae,Radix paeoniae rubra,Radix angelicae sinensis, Rhizoma sparganii,Semen persicae,Radix salviae miltiorrhizae,Rhizoma corydalis,Rhizoma cyperi,Rhizoma chuanxiong and Faeces trogopterori are drugs with a higher frequency of Chinese herbal medicine,while Rhizoma curcumae,Rhizoma sparganii,Radix paeoniae rubra,Herba potriniae,Radix salviae miltiorrhizae,Olibanum,Myrrha and Caulis sargentodoxae are drugs with a higher frequency of enema prescription in treating endometriosis.
