Hepatitis is a chronic disease. Clinically two major types of medicines, e.g , interferon and nucleotide are used. In order to cure this disease, chemists are developing new anti-HBV drugs. On the basis of the previous work in our group, a new kind of compounds have been designed and synthesized as anti-HBV drug candidatesTrans-1-acetyl-4-phenylazobenzoyloxy-L-proline-methylamide, trans-1-acetyl-4- phenylazobenzoyloxy-L-proline-n-butylamide, N-phenyl-oxalamic acid 2-(4-phenyiazobenzoyloxy)-ethyl ester, N-phenyl-oxalamic acid 2-[2-(4-phenyiazobenzoyloxy)-ethoxy]-ethyl ester, N-phenyl-oxalamic acid 2-{2-[2-(4-phenyiazobenzoyloxy)-ethoxy]-ethoxy}-ethyl ester, isophthalic acid mono-[2-(4-phenylazobenzoyloxy)-ethyl] ester, isophthalic acid mono-{2-[2-(4-phenylazobenzoyloxy)-ethoxy]-ethyl} ester, have been synthesized respectively via esterification, alkylation of trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline , aniline, isophthalic acid. The structures of these compounds were characterized by IR and 1H-NMR.
