Filipendula palmate (Pall) Maxim is the perennial herb for the Filipendula of Rosaceae, which is also called He Yezi, grows in the areas of north provinces of China such as Heilongjiang and Jilin. As a medicine herb, Filipendula palmate (Pall) Maxim was widely used to watered and for the treatment of the gout, rheumatism, epilepsy, frostbite, burns and etc. At present, so there are few research reports about its chemical constituents and the pharmacological activities. In order to develop and make use of this rich plant resources better, First of all chemical constituents and biological activity of the relevant literature and reports of Filipendula were retrieved and summarized.Filipendula belongs to Rosaceae, there are 13 species, widely distributed in Northeast China, North China, North Korea and northern Japan, Mongolia and the Soviet Union in Siberia and the Far East. This genus in our country and the majority of Eastern European countries used as the traditional herbal medicine with antipyretic, anti-inflammatory efficacy in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease and have potential anti-tumor efficacy.As the study of Filipendula deepen, a variety of chemical constituents were found in the genus, including flavonoids, Tannin compounds, volatile oil composition, lipid compounds, Filipendula is also rich in heparin, leaf contains vitamin C, fruits containing alkaloids, in addition, Monotropitin,β- sitosterol-3- O -β- D- glucopyranoside and other chemical constituents were found in Filipendula.In recent years, there were some studies of pharmacological on Filipendula and achieved positive progress and a wide range of research results, to demonstrate that their physiological activity of a variety of Filipendula study shows that anti-tumor effects: its flower extracts Composition of flavonoids inhibit the role of tumor proliferation, the genus of the salicylic acid salt and tannin, through the interruption of cell division ways inhibit tumor cell proliferation. The volatile oils and flavonoids constituents of Filipendula have strong anti-microbial role. The antioxidant and free radical scavenging effect was found in Filipendula, the main antioxidant divided into salicylic acid derivatives, tannins, flavonoids, including quercetin - 4 '- glucosidase inhibition in vitro has obvious yellow purine oxidase (IC50 = 5μg ? mL-1) has been on the role of the clinical for the treatment of gout and hyperuricemia. In addition, the study found that Filipendula have anti-inflammatory effects, anticoagulant, antithrombotic and fibrinolytic promoting effects.Filipendula palmate (Pall) Maxim used in this experiment was collected in July 2006 in the Baihe Town under Changbai Mountains of Jilin Province, and assayed by Professor Wang Guangshu of Jilin University College of Pharmacy Department of Pharmacognosy as Filipendula palmate (Pall) Maxim, dried and crushed. First of all, its chemical composition system pre-experiment, respectively, 95% ethanol, 50% ethanol and distilled water for extraction, are heated for 3 h, filtration, the filtrate concentrated liquid decompression Recycling to carry out inspection, The results showed that: Filipendula palmate (Pall) Maxim on part may contain the chemical constituents for the flavonoids, tannins, or polyphenols, as well as sugar or glycosides, especially rich in flavonoids. So this experiment mainly studys the Flavonoids in Filipendula palmate (Pall) Maxim.Filipendula palmate (Pall) Maxim was extracted in 95% ethanol, concentrated and solubled in water, filtered, abandoned the dregs, merged the filtrate, concentrated and solution by macroporous resin AB -8 gradient elution of the gradient eluate by TLC detection, the results showed that: most flavones existed in the part of 70%, concentrated and got 65 g of total flavonoids, took the use of silica gel column, solvent systems were as follows: chloroform - methanol - ethyl acetate- water, since the use of Sephadex column chromatography, organic solvents, such as re-crystallization separation and purification methods have been four compounds, took use of the physico-chemical property and spectral analysis to identify their structures, as follows: 3, 3', 4', 5, 7 - Pentahydroxyflavone (quercitrin), Quercetin - 3 - rutinoside (rutoside), Quercetin - 3 - O -α- L - arabinopyranoside (avicularin), Quercetin - 3 - O -α- L- rhamnoside (quercetin), these four compounds are flavonoids, which were first isolated from this plant, and avicularin and quercetin were isolated from this genus for the first time.To sum up, the resources of Filipendula palmate (Pall) Maxim in our country is rich, the value of development is great. This paper studied on the flavonoids in Filipendula palmate (Pall) Maxim, which provided a scientific basis for the development of new, efficient and safe drug.
