Therapeutic Efficacy Of Reduced Glutathione Combined With XIAOYAO JIEDU Soup On Alcoholic Liver Disease

Objective:To observe the therapeutic efficacy of reduced glutathione combined with XIAOYAO JIEDU soup(XYJDS) on alcoholic liver disease(ALD).Patients and methods:A total of 149 ALD patients who were in The Yanji Hospital of Chinese Medicine from Sep.2005 to Nov.2007 were randomly divided into 2 groups:control group,n=74;treatment group,n=75.All patients treated by reduced glutathione 1.2-1.8g/d routinely,the control group were received additional conventional dialectical therapy,and the treatment group was received extra XYJDS. The clinical data including symptoms,physical sign,liver function,and biochemical parameters in two groups were monitored.Results:The clinical symptom and physical sign improved obviously in trial group. The excellent effective rate,effective rate,inefficiency rate,and total effective rate were 73.3%,25.3%,1.3%,and 98.7%,respectively,and those in control group were 66.2%,31.1%,2.7%,and 97.3%,respectively.There is no significant difference between these two groups on total effective rate(p＞0.05).The levels of Alanine transaminase(ALT),Aspartic transaminase(AST),Glutamyl transpeptidase(GGT), and triglyeride(TG) were 40.0±16.5U/L,33.9±13.5 U/L,76.1±69.0 U/L,and 3.9±2.5mmol/L after treatment,respectively,and the levels of ALT,AST,GT,AST TG were 105.36±120.21U/L,93.71±153.54U/L,205.09±160.70 U/L,1.95±1.11mmol/L, before therapy,respectively.There was significant difference between after and before treatment(p＜0.01),in control group the levels of ALT,AST,GT,AST,and TG were 42.58±8.69U/L,31.93±7.41U/L,90.58±125.20 U/L,1.73±0.86mmol/L after treatment, respectively,and the levels of ALT,AST,GT,AST,and TG were 91.46±75.47U/L, 54.65±49.10 U/L,181.20±163.37U/L,and 2.80±2.17mmol/L before therapy,there was significant difference between after and before treatment(p＜0.01).However, there was no significant difference between treatment and control group after treatment(p＞0.05).Conclusions:The reduced glutathione combined with XYJDS has an excellent efficacy and no obvious adverse reaction,and the therapeutic effects have no significant differences compared with conventional method of dialectical therapy.It is worth while gonging on research and waiting for produce.
