Abstract/Summary:
Objective: To discuss for the feature of pathologic jaundice of newborn and to discover the relationship of between feature and manifestation of TCM. To search the rule of differentiation of syndrome and signs for classification of syndrome of this disease, so as to apply impersonality gist for the treatment this disease by TCM and western medicine. Method: Apply the retrospective study, establish database by clinical investigating 106 cases from hospital and out-patient clinic, and utilize SPSS15.0 to finish statistial analysis. Result:1.The cases of stagnation of damp-heat are possessed of 57.5% in all. The cases of stagnation of cold damp are possessed of 33.75%. And the possession of stagnation of vital energy and blood stasis are 8.75%.2.The manifestation of TCM in low birth weight mainly is stagnation of cold damp. 3.If the newborn have a history of aproea when they were born, the manifestation of TCM mainly is stagnation of damp-heat. 4.When the age of the newborn is no more than 4 days, the manifestation of TCM mainly are stagnation of damp-heat and cold damp. Then when the newborn are 7days old, the manifestation of TCM mainly is stagnation of vital energy and blood stasis.5. The manifestation of TCM in hemolytic and hepatitis disease of newborn mainly is stagnation of damp-heat. The manifestation of TCM in breast-feeding jaundice of newborn is stagnation of cold damp.6.When total bilirubin in blood serum is less-than 205umol/l,the manifestations of TCM are stagnation of damp-heat and cold damp. When total bilirubin in blood serum is between 205 umol/l and 342 umol/l, the manifestation of TCM is stagnation of damp-heat. If the direct serum is also more than normal level, the manifestation of TCM can change to stagnation of vital energy and blood stasis. Conclusion: The manifestation of TCM in pathologic Jaundice of Newborn are stagnation of damp-heat, cold damp and vital energy and blood stasis. They have a close relationship with gestational age, the history of asphyxia, the primary affection, the time of appearance of jaundice, the number of bilirubin in blood serum. And they have no obvious relationship with the mode of birth, cephalohematoma and sex.
