Clinicopathological Study And Literature Review On Sino-nasal Malignant Malenoma

Purpose: The purpose of this article is to discuss the early diagnosis , optimal treatment and prognosis for sino-nasal mucosal malignant melanoma.Methods: Retrospectively study on 37 cases of sino-nasal malignant melanoma. Review the pertinent literature.Results: 2 lymph node enlargement were found but none metastasis.The optimaltreatment is surgery. 12 local recurrence after resection occurred, 1 in which lived for 16 years after 4 recurrence and 5 surgeries in total since the first visit.The survival time is 3 months in the shortest. The main causes of death are local recurrence and distant metastasis. The 1-year,3-year,5-year survival rates are approximately 48.6%,25%,17.4%.Conclusion:1,The symptoms of nasal melanoma were unilateral nasal obstruction, epistaxis and blood streak nasal discharge. Nonspecific symptomatology and poorly identifiable lesions lead to mis-diagnosis or delay in diagnosis , surgical approaches difficult makes local recurrence and distant metastasis,thus poor survival.2,The 1-year,3-year,5-year survival rates are approximately 48.6%,25%,17.4%. The optimal treatment is surgery. 2 lymph node enlargement were found but none metastasis. 12 local recurrence in 33 after resection occurred, 1 in which lived for 16 years after 4 recurrence and 5 surgeries in total since the first visit.The surviving time of non-surgury group is 15 months in the longest, which proved a worse prognosis than the surgery group. The survival time is 3 months in the shortest.The main causes of death are local recurrence and distant metastasis.3,The recommended treatment for recurrence lesion is also surgery.4,Early diagnosis and early treatment will lead to improved prognosis.
