Objective To study the effect of synthetic intervention to early-stage pulmonary fibrosis by duplicating silicosis in rabbits thereby to find an effective treatment on pulmonary fibrosis .Metheds . Metheds .150 healthy male rabbits, weighing about 2.5kg, were randomly divided into 5 groups: A normal group ; B salvia miltiorrhiza intraperitoneal injection group; C low concentration salvia miltiorrhiza lung lavage treatment group D synthetic trentment group (salvia miltiorrhiza intraperitoneal injection combined with low concentration salvia miltiorrhiza lung lavage ) group ;E silicosis group.(n=30 in each group). silica dust suspension were poured into the tracheas of group BCDE.The normal group were poured into equivalent volum Sodium Chloride. The classification, amount, score of siliconic nodules were observed to evaluate whether the model has been successfully built . By detecting the amount of tissue hydroxyproline and the net weight of lungs the therapeutic effect of synthetic intervention in lung fibrosis was measured.Result:in the 150 rabbits ,2 rabbits were dead in the normal group.7 rabbits were dead and 5 rabbits fail to be made into model successfully. All the other 108 rabbits were successfully made into model. In the successfully built models, the number, classification of siliconic nodules and the amount of lung tissue hydroxyproline were significantly higher than that in salvia miltiorrhiza intraperitoneal injection group, low concentration salvia miltiorrhiza lung lavage treatment group, synthetic trentment group (salvia miltiorrhiza intraperitoneal injection combined with low concentration salvia miltiorrhiza lung lavage ) group,E silicosis group(p<0.05,或p<0.01the difference has statistic meaning)Conclusion: synthetic intervention could decrease the amount of tissue hydroxyproline in lungs of rabbit silicosis and slow down the process of fibrosis in silicosis.
