| Objective:To observe the clinical effect of XiaoDian Soup in treating Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP),evaluate the expression of serum IL-6 of patients with HSP before and after treatment,and reveal the pathogenesis of HSP and the effect mechanism of XiaoDian Soup on HSP.Methods:52 patients with HSP were divided into two groups according to random number table method.26 patients were in the treated group with XiaoDian Soup and 26 patients in the control group with prednisone.One period of treatment lasted for one month for two groups.After two periods of treatment,the clinical efficacy was observed.Meanwhile we measured the expression level of serum IL-6 of the normal group.The lever of IL-6 in serum was measured by ELISA before and after treatment of HSP patients and normal group.Results:1.The total effective rate of the treated group and the control group were 92.0%and 88.0%.The comparison between the two groups showed no significant difference(p＞0.05).2.The curative effect of treated group such as shorten the remission time of bleeding of skin and urine and proteinuria is superior to the control group(p＜0.05).3.The expression level of serum IL-6 of HSP patients was higher than the level of the normal control group before treatment.After treatment the expression level in two groups were obvious reduced,but it also higher than the normal level(p＜0.05).Conclusion:From the observation and experiment,the results show that curative effect of XiaoDian Soup was explicit for the patients of HSP.The curative effect of treated group such as shorten the remission time of bleeding of skin and urine and proteinuria is superior to the control group.And the level of serum IL-6 of HSP patients was higher.After treated with XiaoDian Soup,it could be obviously reduced.So it means that XiaoDian Soup could adjust the abnormal immune level of HSP patients.And the above shows that XiaoDian Soup is an effective drug to treat HSP.
