| ObjectiveTo analyze the effect of anti-glaucoma medicine and anti-glaucoma surgery on ocular surface and MUCSAC in tear.MethodStudy group:Twenty-five patients(27 eyes)with glaucoma combined with cataract were enrolled in this group. All the patients accepted phacotrabeculectomy conformed by the same surgeon. The change of vision,IOP,ocular surface score, Schirmerâ… and BUT pre-operation and 1m,3m,6m post-operation were analyzed. The content of MUC5AC in the tear were quantified by ELISA pre-operation and 1m,3m,6m post-operation.Control group:Forty-three volunteers(43 eyes)with no contact lens wearing history were enrolled in this group. The content of MUC5AC in the tear of all the volunteers were quantified by ELISA.The content of MUC5AC were compared between the control group and the study group pre-operatively.The content of MUCSAC were compared in the study group pre-operatively and post-operatively.The effect of the anti-glaucoma medicine and anti-glaucoma surgery on ocular surface and MUC5AC were analyzed.Result1.There was statistical difference of vision and IOP in the study group pre-operativley and post-operatively.2.There was statistical difference of MUC5AC between the control group and the study group.3.There was statistical difference of ocular surface score in the study group pre-operatively and post-operatively.4.There was no correlation between the duration of medical therapy, the number of the medicine and the ocular surface score. There was statistical difference of the content of MUC5AC in the study group pre-operatively and post-operatively. 5.There was negative correlation between the content of MUC5AC and the ocular surface score. There was no correlation between the content of MUC5AC and the IOP.Conclusion1.Topical anti-glaucoma medical therapy can affect the content of MUC5AC in the tear.2.Phacotrabeculectomy can affect the ocular surface and the content of MUC5AC in the tear.3.There was no correlation between the content of MUCSAC and the IOP while there was negative correlation between the content of MUC5AC and the ocular surface score. |
