Objective: (1)To providing an network interactive platform which is adapted to nursing undergraduates'nursing management study by constructing multimedia and internet teaching system on Nursing Management. (2) To construct a teaching model on Nursing Management based network environment which aim to optimize the teaching and learning in classroom; arouse students'interest and enthusiasm in study; improve their ability to self-study, management, analyze and solve problem.Methods: (1) According to the characteristics of nursing management, collecting and organizing learning resource based the national canonical medical material of Nursing Management. Then a system was designed and developed by the technology of computer, network and multimedia which contains eight parts, including virtual classroom, scenic stories, various exercises, answering questions, the space of communication, web-based examinations, managing students, complemented knowledge and so on. (2) Constructing the web-based teaching model on Nursing Management under the guideline of the constructivism theory, which routine process is"making clear subject and setting up a frame--creating situation and giving a heuristic problem-- making voluntary study and inquiry--making co-operated exploration in communication and discussion--reporting and showing results-- making evaluation and having a feedback test". Then, 140 nursing students were divided into test group and control group randomly. The web-based teaching model would be applied in the students of test group, while students of control group were taught in the traditional way.Results: (1) More than 60% nursing students are satisfied with the multimedia and internet teaching system on Nursing Management in it's teaching, scientific, technology, interactive, art and applied aspects. (2) The score of nursing management knowledge and skills of the test group is better than that of control group, the statistical differences have significance.(P<0.05).(3) The total score of self-study and the score in the aspects of cooperation and information in the test group are better than that of control group. The statistical differences have significance.(P<0.05).(4) The students of the test group thought highly of the web-based teaching model. The analysis of Pearson correlation showed that the nursing undergraduates'satisfactory degree on the web-based teaching model is related with 4 aspects which including favoring the E-learning, arousing interest in study, improving management skills and cultivating information ability. In addition, the linear stepwise regression analysis also showed a statistically significant relationship between the satisfactory degree with the latter three aspects.Conclusion: (1) The application of the multimedia and internet teaching system on Nursing Management met the nursing undergraduates'study requirements, optimized the teaching and learning in classroom and improved the efficiency and quality of the teaching. (2) The teaching model based network environment can arouse the nursing students'interest and motivation in study, improve the ability to discover and solve problems and be benefit to the cultivation of nursing management skills. (4) Improving the ability to self-study, cooperation and information of nursing undergraduates. (5) The teaching model on Nursing Management based network environment laid a solid foundation for the diathesis education of nursing students.
