Study Of Ocular Accommodation Parameters In Juvenile Myopia

Objective To investigate the state of accommodation parameters on the different stage in juvenile myopia and evaluation the correlation between accommodation and juvenile myopia.Method 53 myopia students were divided into 3 group based on the following classification:onset myopes(n=14),progressing myopes(n=23),stable myopes(n=16). Accommodation parameters including accommodative amplitude,accommodative facility,accommodative convergence/accommodation (AC/A)ratio and positive and negative relative accommodation(PRA/NRA) were measured.Result:Accommodative amplitude of stable myopia was higher than onset myopia and progressing myopia(P＜0.05);Accommodative facility rate of stable myopia was higher than onset myopia and progressing myopia(P＜0.05);AC/A ratio of progressing myopia was lower than onset myopia and stable myopia(P＜0.05);PRA of stable myopia was higher than onset myopia and progressing myopia(P＜0.05);There was no significant difference in NRA. Conclusions:Accommodation parameters play an important role in juvenile myopia onset and progression.accommodation parameters exist significant difference on the different stages of myopia,probably predict the progression of myopia.
