Aim: This research is to studies the main pharmaceutical effect of this new type of dichloroacetate based on the traditional effects and clinical application of the original recipe (decoction, powder) and to offer references to the reform and the clinical application of the dichloroacetate. Methods: This research mainly studies these aspects of the pharmaceutical effect: diuretic actions,anti-inflammatory,analgesic andantipyretic. The experimental methods were as follow: the diuretic actions were investigated by the method of metabolism cages in rats and filter paper test in mice; mouse ear swell induced by dimethylbenzene; mouse thener swell induced by jiaochacaijiao; white blood cell swimming; mouse pain threshold induced by heat stimulation; body twisting in mice induced by acetic and acidanimal fever induced by yeast to rat. Results: the high, middle, low dose groups can increased the rat and mouse urinary output within four hours, which had marked difference compared with these of the control group (p< 0.05 ) and inhibited the mouse ear swelling, mouse thener swelling and white blood cell swimming (p<0.05 ) , also decreased the frequency of body torsion and heat stimulation (p< 0.05) and antagonized animal fever induced by yeast to rat (p<0.05) .Conclusion: Xieriga-4 tablet has the obvious diuretic,anti-inflammatory,analgesic and antipyretic actions.
