Clinical Research Of Chinese Medicine Washing Combined With Rattling Therapy Applicating On The Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective:Knee degenerative osteoarthritis(KOA)is one of the major cause of the knee inactivities.The older people are,the more KOA are.Because of this,patients are very painful,and their family are poor more and more. Now,we can treat this disease in many ways,The traditional chinese medicine treatment,especially chinese medicine washing combined with manipulation, have been confirmed by a large number of reports,which have advanced in non-invasive,safe,low-cost,acceptability.Rattling eherapy is one of manipulation,you can find in《Doctors in the Kam.Bone setting experience. Topical therapy》,and it can reduce cramps and fatigue.The objective of this study is to observe the clinical effectiom of KOA treated by rattling combined with chinese medicine washing.We hope that through this research, we can find a good way for KOA.Methods:98 patients were randomly divided into two groups:experimental group(rattling eherapy+chinese medicine washing,N=51)and controy group (chinese medicine washing,N=47),They all came to our hospital Orthopedic clinic from December 2006 to February 2008,and met the test requirements.There was no significant difference between them in the following item:①patients'sex and age;②time of the course;③the WOMAC score when they were diagnosed at the first time.The course was 4 weeks.During the research,we told all the patients to exercise quadriceps and prevent influenza.The researchers recorded the score accurately,and ensured that the contents were true,then,they put the data into computer, established the database and analyzied them by SPSS 13.0 software package.Results:The WOMAC score of the two groups after one week treatment was as following:the experimental group was 23.06±8.59,and the controy group was 28.15±8.17,therewas significant difference between two groups, particularly in relieving the pain.after 4 weeks treatment the result was that:the experimental group was 17.98±7.19,and the other was 18.04±5.78,there was no significant difference between them.It is considered that in the first week of the treatment,the experimental group are superior to the controy group in relieving the pain,while in three weeks after,the experimental group is only better than the other in improving stiffness,while the controy group is better than it in pain mitigation and functional improvement,In the end,we can conclude that chinese medicine washing combined with rattling therapy had rised efficiency and improved the function quickly,but there was no significant difference between the two groups afer 4 week treatment.Conclusion:on the basis of rattling with therapy,Chinese medicine washing combined with rattling therapy can reduce pain and ease the symptoms quickly. So,we think that it's another way to treat knee osteoarthritis.
