Objective A study on homological analysis of porphyromonas gingivalis in the subgingival plaque and coronary atherosclerotic plaque by using PCR and sequence determination. Method 15 patients with chronic periodontitis combined with coronary heart disease were included in. Subgingival plaque and coronary atherosclerotic plaque samples were collected. The extracted DNA was amplified with P. gingivalis species- specific primer. And then amplification products were sequenced. Result The detection rate of p.gingivalis in the subgingival plaque and p.gingivalis in the subgingival plaque is 52.78%,47.22% respectively. There are no significant statistical difference byχ2 test, P>0.05.Sequence analysis showed 16SrDNA genes of p.gingivalis in the subgingival plaque shared high homology with 16SrDNA genes of p.gingivalis p.gingivalis in the subgingival plaque. Conclusion Periodontal pathogens are associated with the occurrence and development of the coronary heart disease. And chronic periodontitis may be one of risk factors for coronary heart disease. The result provides scientific basis for prevention and controlling in chronic periodontitis and coronary heart disease.
