Objective To analyze the related risk factors of diabetic retinopathy(DR),p rovide the basis for the prevention and treatment of DR.Methods 100 cases of patients suffered from type 2 diabetes(T2DM) were divided into two groups:diabetic non-retinopathy group(NDR group,n=50) and d iabetic retinopathy group(DR group,n=50) according to the results examined by ophthalmofundoscope. All patients were inquired about age, disease duration, smo king and drinking alcohol and family history on diabetes.Blood pressure, height (without shoes) and weight(without coat) were measured in physical examination. BMI=weight /height2/(kg/m2).glycosylated hemoglobin(GHbAlc),fasting blood sugar(FBG),uric acid(UA),C-reactive protein(CRP),homocysteic acid(HCY),bl ood magnesium, blood fat and blood pressure were tested or recorded in all patie nts, then the comparison between two groups was carried out.By T-test,and Logi stic multiple factor gradual regressive analysis was used to analyze the related risk s of DR.Results The age, course of disease, systolic blood pressure(SBP),GHbAlc,CRP, HCY,UA,low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C) of the DR group were significantly higher than those of the NDR group(P<0.05),the serum magnesium value in DR group was lower significantly than that of the NDR group(P<0.05).;there were no statistical differences in the body mass index(BMI),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),FBG, triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),high density lipoproteincholesteryl(HDL-C) between the two groups(P>0.05).Logistic analysis revealed that the six variances, such as age, course of disease,SBP,GHBAlc,CRP and HCY,were the independent risk factors of DR occurrence.Conclusions:(1) The incidence of diabetic retinopathy in the old diabetes patients with long disease duration of diabetes were higher than that in the young patients with short disease duration;(2) The incidence of diabetic retinopathy were related with blood sugar, blood pressure and blood lipid in the patients with diabetes;(3) High CRP,HCY and UA and low[Mg2+]in blood were related with the incidence of diabetic retinopathy in the patients with diabetes; The above indexes can be used as the early indicator of diabetic retinopathy for the prevention and treatment on it.The control on inflammation, addition of[Mg2+]and reduction in HCY through addition of folio acid and vitamin B12 will be helpful in the reduction of the incidence of diabetic retinopathy and slow down the progression of it..
