Study Of Oral Health KAP And Oral Cavity Infection Condition Investigation For People Living With HIV/AIDS

Objective To understand the northern Anhui countryside area HIV/AIDS patients'oral hygiene condition,oral hygiene custom and oral health knowledge, attitudes and behaviours,and to understand the local HIV / AIDS patients with the incidence of oral abnormal signs,simultaneously to analyze its related influence factors,and to formulate appropriate intervention measures.Through implementating the HIV/AIDS patients with cognitive behavioral intervention,to evaluate the differences of the patients before and after the intervention in oral hygiene habits and oral health knowledge, attitudes, behavior.Methods 1,Developing the oral health standards of investigation on the basis of WHO,oral examination is used by conventional methods and self questionnaire.The subject which includes is general demographic characteristics,oral health status and habits,oral knowledge,attitude and behavior,oral abnormal signs and so on. In the help with local CDC staff .After accessing to the survey of the situation of informed consent,to adopt"one pair one"the anonymous way to diagnose the HIV/AIDS patients and simultaneously to inspect their oral signs.To remove invalid scale after the baseline survey and recover 95 effective scale.Then to build up a database by using Epidata3.0,the SPSS12.0 software has been applicated to have a univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analysis on data.2,According to the baseline survey of HIV / AIDS patients with oral hygiene habits and oral health knowledge,attitudes, behavior ,to develop the corresponding interventions.To advcate oral health knowledge through the manuals,cards,board, propaganda columns,lectures and so on and to provide for durys such as mouthwash and so on to imply intervention. Simultaneously to imply intervention for village doctors and the local CDC staff.To draw the evaluation of intervention,in order to improve the quality of HIV / AIDS patients' life.Results 1.95 HIV/AIDS patients' universal oral hygiene condition is bad,have not the good oral hygiene custom.In the oral cavity unusual symptom,the formation rate quite is high.In which periodontosis occupies the first place,is 74.74%;saliva glandular illness (xerostomia) accounts for 61.05%; oral cavity moniliasis accounts for 55.79%;oral cavity ulcer accounts for 57.89%.Through the chi square test,the men and women contract periodontosis (χ2 =4.179),saliva glandular illness (χ2 =4.361),oral cavity moniliasis (χ2 =9.182)and the oral cavity ulcer (χ2 =7.50) the probability difference has the remarkable statistics significance (P<0.05).2.In the 95 HIV / AIDS patients,only 37.89 percent (36/95) have contacted a survey of oral health education.There are some problems exsiting in HIV/AIDS patients,such as poor oral health knowledge,oral misconceptions,weak awareness of oral health and poor oral hygiene habits. 3.The stepwise logistic regression analysis shows that the incidence of caries is associated with education;the incidence of periodontal disease is associated with sex and brushing their teeth after meals;the incidence of candida albicans disease is associated with caries and brushing their teeth before sleep;the incidence of recurrent aphthous ulcers is associated with brushing way,brushing their teeth before sleep and brushing their teeth after meals;the incidence of nonspecific ulcer is associated with sex.4.Through implementating the HIV/AIDS patients with cognitive behavioral intervention,the correct rate of patient's oral health knowledge and health behavior is significantly improved.Conclusion Through this research,it can see that in rural areas of Anhui Province Linquan County, in particular the high incidence of AIDS villages.There are some problems exsiting in HIV/AIDS patients,such as poor oral health status,weak awareness of oral health and the high incidence of oral diseases.A positive oral health education and an effective intervention can improve HIV / AIDS patients with oral health status.Therefore, it should intensify HIV / AIDS patients with oral health promotion and oral knowledge of the medical and health care work,work on the early detection of oral disease,early diagnosis and treatment in order to combat AIDS.
