The article carried on the related research on the anticancer chemistry composition and its qualities of Polygonum orientale LPharmacological research with methyl thiazoyl tetrazoliu (MTT) colorimetric assay indicated that the extraction parts of ethyl acetate and ethanol had good inhibitory action on 95D cells.The extraction and isolation were accomplished with solvent andchromato-graphical method about the Fructus Polygoni Orientalis, got 11 compoundsidentified 8 compounds as follows: 3,5,7-trihydrochromone ( I ) ,kaempferol(II) ,5,7,4'-trihydroxy-dihydroflavonol (III) ,dihydroquercetin (IV) , quercetin(VI) ,p-hydroxyphenyle-thanol ferulate (VII), p-hydroxyphenylethanol-p-coumaric(IX),β- sitosterol ( X ), the compound (II) (III) (IV) were discovered for thefirst time from the herb.The article studies the ethyl acetate fraction got the HPLC fingerprint diagram. We demarcate common peaks of its flower, stem and fruit in the diagram, the analysis method has good credibility and stability. The research provide certain science parameter to control the quality of Polygonum orientale LOn the foundation of chemical composition, the article established its quantitalive analysis, drew up the explicit quality standard.
