Descriptive statistics were used to describe the epidemic characters of the cases. McNemar's chisq test, single factor and multi-factor logistic regression were employed to explore main risk factors of ED.Results: The study showed that light, medial and severe degree ED accounted for 43%, 39% and 18% of all the ED patients respectively. The minimum age of the cases was 23 years, and maximum age was 76 years, and mean age was 44.08. This study indicated that those aged 40~49 year old(44.90%) and 50~59 year old(23.81%) were more affected by ED, those below 25 years old and older than 60 years old were less affected, accounting for 2.27% and 3.40%, respectively. As for the occupation, individual economy and small business owners accounted for 26.53% of the total cases, ranking first, and officials and company clerks(18.37%) followed. Peasants accounted for the smallest proportion of the cases. Those who owned a senior high school and technical secondary school educational level accounted for 29.93%, ranking first. Bachelor&unior college level owners(27.21%) and graduated education and higher level follewed(25.17%) in oder. As for the non-ED diseases all cases suffering from, disease of prostate ranked first, accounting for 25.17%, and hypertension(21.09%) and diabetes(14.97%) follewed in order. The McNemar's and single factor logistic regression analysis showed that there were 10 statistically significant risk factors of ED:hypertension, diabetes, diseases of prostate, anti-hypertension drug usage, anxiety, unharmonious sex life. In the litht of the results of single factor logistic regression analysis, multi-factor logistic regression analysis was conducted to select related factors, and the results showed that diseases of prostate, long-term anti-hypertension drug usage and anxiety were main risk factors of ED in male adult population. Conclusions:ED seems to be a disease which worries lots of males for long time. Though it does not endanger the life, it gives nagtive effects on the life quality and also throws heavey burdens on the family as well as individuals. This study showed that those aged from 40~49 year old(44.90%) and from 50~59 year old(23.81%) were more affected to ED, and the occurrence of the ED were accociated with the diseases of prostate, long-term anti-hypertension drug usage and anxiety. So combined interventions including treament of related diseases, psychological aid and sex knowledge education should be taken to lower the occurrence of the ED and to better their life quality. |
