With the advent of the Knowledge Economy in 21th Century and the intensified competitions in the world as well as the change of the nursing pattern, and in order to gradually solve the problem of maladjustment between education structure and level and the education background of the nursing staff, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of education required in the " The Reform and Development of the Higher Education for Nursing, Pharmacy and its related Medical Science" that the scope of enrollment should be expanded and the level of instruction should be promoted from 2010 to 2015. It is strategic meaningful for accelerating the cultivation of the senior nursing staff, optimizing the structure and level of nursing staff, deepening the reform of medical high education to carry out and develop medical higher education.YYMC is one of the colleges that set up the nursing profession with bachelor degree in the earliest time in Hubei Province, It is famous for its long history, rich teaching resources and experience in Hubei Province. The nursing profession had been regarded as the Hubei Provincial Brand Undergraduate Profession Establishment Project. But the teaching research and the teaching reform is at the beginning due to the relatively short period of time of the development.Guided by the modern course theory, upon the social needs for the senior nursing staff in the new age, and combining the trend of the Nursing higher education home and abroad and the experience for reform, adopting the method of Historical Documents, Delphi method and Questionnaire, this article is analyzing the current course system of YYMC and advances the idea that is to strengthen the cultivation target, weaken the border of different subjects and to set up course system with reasonable structure, complementary functions and emphasize the quality education. First it is to transfer the abstract professional humanity cultivation target into concrete target that instructive, feasible and measurable. Second it should follow the modern medical science pattern and the ratio of the relevant public and basic course should be decreased, and increase the ratio of the humanity courses, reform the fundamental courses of the major, and optimize the specialized courses. Importance should be attached to the concept of Humanity, the content of the required courses should be simplified and the total teaching period should be condensed. Third, part of the clinic practice period should be adjusted into the theory learning period and it is better for the student to touch the clinic and strengthen the relationship between theory and practice. The community nursing practice should be brought into the practice plan. Forth, under the principle of "conducting according to its own capacity" some selective courses should be set up to meet the requirement of the students and encourage the development of students' personality. Fifth, great importance should be attached to the concealment course and create and construct the education atmosphere in different levels and mutli-channel. Last and not least to emphasize on the basic construction of teaching, perfect the education evaluation system and education administration system. To carry research on the scope, cost, effect and profit; and the quality of running a school and to reach the teaching result of reasonable benefit.
