Objective:To observe the bacteriostatic effect and transplantational effect of Irradiated homologous nerve Incorporated with Silver .Methods: 18 healthy and adult rabbits were randomly divided into group A and group B and group C.Treat homogeneity variant nerve with irradiated with Silver, ,simpl irradiation and hypothermy freeze methods Determined the quantity of silver, bacterial culture and vitro bacteriostasis experiment bacteriostasis experiment including Staphylococcus aureus ,Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coliperitoneal injection anesthesia pronate fixture thigh posterior part median cause 2cm ischiadic nerve defect group A transplant homogeneity variant nerve with irradiated with Silver group B transplant A fresh homogeneity variant nerve group C transplant self nerve. 4,8 weeks after operation get arterial blood 2ml, carry out vitro microcytotoxicity test. observe immunological rejection of host post transplant. By Histomorphology observe gastrocnemius outline, transplant nerve adherence with surrounding tissue and judge transplantation effect by light microscope.Result:nerve which irradiated with Silver the quantity of silver is(193.2±10.3ug/g), nerve which with simple irradiation and hypothermy freeze the quantity of silver is zero. all groups have no the growth of bacterium. vitro bacteriostasis experiment test nerve which irradiated with Silver have obvious bacteriostatic action for Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosaand Escherichia coli.compared with other groups have obvious difference.(P<0.01); 4,8 weeks after operation vitro microcytotoxicity test show group A the dead rate of lymphocyte compared with group C has no obvious difference, group A, group C compared with group B (p<0.05). 12 weeks after operation group A, group C make improvement in gastrocnemius atrophy , by light microscope can see Schwann cell proliferation and new auxiliary fibers.Conclusion:Nerve which irradiated with Silver can solve cut down antigenicity ,tissue conservation ,nerve regeneration effect ,functional restoration and postoperative infection .It is a ideal neural transplantation material ,support a good surrogate for peripheral nerve defect...
