Objective:To observe the effects of Electroacupuncture on cell factors IL-1βand TNF-a in the Rabbit models with joint liquid of Knee Osteoarthritis. Methods:The New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into the control group(A),the model group(B),the Massage group(C) and the Electroacupuncture group(D).The rabbits in group B,group C and group D were made into the models with the Knee Osteoarthritis. Group A and B were not treated. Group C were treated by Massage and functional training. Group D were treated by Electroacupuncture. Then the observation was conducted on the changes of IL-1βand TNF-a in the Knee Joint Liquid of these groups and on the curative effects of Electroacupuncture. Results:After Electroacupuncture was given for 3 weeks, the contents of IL-1βand TNF- a were lowered distinctively.Compared to the group D and B, the differences were obvious( P<0.05). Compared to front treatment of the group D, the differences were obvious( P<0.05).Conclusions:The Electroacupuncture has the preventive and curative effects on Osteoarthritis by lowering IL-1βand TNF-a in the Knee Joint Liquid.Acupuncture and Moxibustion for Knee Osteoarthritis is effective.
