| Objective:Knee osteoarthritis(KOA) is common degenerative osteoarthritis in the middle-old age, pain and activities obstacles of the affected joint are the main clinical manifestations of KOA, but there is no specific clinical treatment at present. The purpose of this research is to observe the changes of IL-8 and MCP-1 before and after electricity treatment;and to evaluate its clinical efficacy, preliminarily anti-inflammatory analgesic mechanism and providing more clinical theoretical basis for electric acupuncture treatment of KOA.Method: Selected 30 patients with knee osteoarthritis between July 2014 to December 2015 in wuhan integrated TCM and western medicine hospital,All of the patients with cupping therapy(Liang Qiu,Du Bi,Xue Hai and Nei Xi Yan points of knee),cupping treatment 1 times a day,each time stimulate 30 minutes, continuous 6 times for a period of treatment, rests 1 day,the interval for two courses of treatment. To evaluate the pain score, DNIC function,mood score and testing the content of IL-8 and MCP-1 before and after treatment with statistical analysis by SPSSl7.0 statistical software.Result:(1)VAS,DNIC function,ES score: after 2 courses of electric acupuncture treatment,the VAS score of patients go down, compared with before treatment and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.01);DNIC functional score was improved obviously,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.01);ES score significantly reduced,statistically significant is different(P<0.01).(2)comparising serum markers : after 2 courses of treatment, KOA patients?levels of IL-8 and MCP-1 were dropped(P<0.01), cupping treatment can reduce the patients' serum concent of IL-8,MCP-1,the difference is statistically significant.Conclusions:(1)Electroacupuncture can improve the DNIC function of knee joint osteoarthritis, reducing the pain and clinical symptoms of KOA patients effectively.(2)Electroacupuncture can reduce the serum content of IL-8 and MCP-1 in KOA patients effectively,and this indicats that the mechanism of electric acupuncture in the treatment of KOA may be by regulating serum content of IL-8, MCP-1. |
