The Study Of Community Healthy Education And Healthy Promotion Policy In Chongqing

From 1980's, with arising of healthy education and healthy promotion, many people are having paid close attention to healthy promotion by World Health Organization. As the basic unit of people gathered to meet the material, cultural and entertainment needs of survival and development, communities have obvious effect and influence to people at socialization, body and mentally health. There exists mainly high prevalence of chronic diseases, mental illness and more in communities. Since these problems are caused by unhealthy lifestyles, such as smoking, alcoholism, inappropriate diet, lack of exercise and so on. It is has proved that only through health education and health promotion strategies to help people understand health, foster healthy concepts, establish a healthy lifestyle can help to prevent and reduce the incidence of chronic diseases and mental illness. Health education is also an effective way to curb rapidly rising medical costs, and reduce the personal burden of medical costs. It is a health measure with low input, high output, and more benefits.From the macro-political strategy perspective, the urban community health education and health promotion policies have been comprehensively analyzed since Chongqing municipality at three aspects of policy environment, policy stakeholders and policy practical value in this paper. On the basis of that, administrative policies have been proposed which are suitable for the situation of Chongqing. This paper included five chapters.The first chapter outlines the process of China's reform of the urban medical and health, explains the historical background of our urban community health services having increasing attention to the rapid development. Community health education as an important component of urban community health service has attracted more and more attention from society.The second chapter studies community health education and health promotion theory to explore the concept of the health, health needs, community and community education, community health services, community health education and health promotion strategies. The physical and psychological health has become the most important social needs for the overwhelming majority of the people. Community-based health education meets community health care needs of community residents, therefore improving the environment and promotes public health.The third chapter outlines the historical evolution of a national community health policy, and, on this basis, discusses the community health policy and the community health development in Chongqing municipality. Chapter four Based on the analysis of policy environment, policy stakeholders and practical value of the three policy areas in Chongqing city community health education and health promotion, and investigate organizations, human resources, funding and activities, to identify the problems that exists in the practical work.Chapter five proposes to solve contradict between the development of Chongqing urban community health education and community health education needs of the masses. The most important policy is to remove the obstacles. At the last, the effective measures aiming at community healthy education and healthy promotion are suggested.
