Clinical Study On Hua Tan Ding Xuan Fang In Treating Vertebrobasilar Insufficiency

Objection: To study the clinical effects and mechanism of "Hua Tan Ding Xuan Fang" . Methods: 106 cases of vertebrobasilar insufficiency with TCM syndrome of heat-phlegm were randomly divided into two groups. All of them had been treated with Aspirin and Nimodipine. Among them 54 cases had been treated with Hua Tan Ding Xuan Fang Decoction for 4 weeks,the other 52 cases treated with Betahistine served as a control group. The patients' vertigo degree,heat-phlegm symptoms and changes of TCD before and after treatment are observed.Results:The prescription of Hua Tan Ding Xuan Fang Decoction can obviously improve the clinical symptoms of heat- plegm vertigo and abnormal flow of TCD. And the higher serum cholesterol of patient was depressed. Conclusions: Hua Tan Ding Xuan Fang Decoction is obviously effective on the treatment of vertebrobasilar insufficiency with TCM syndrome of Heat-Phlegm. -...
