Objective:To analyze the relation between dietary factor(minerals and vitamins) and hypertension in Xinjiang Uygur.In order to give evidence to prevent and control hypertension.Methods:From April to October in 2005,To collect the Diabetes information of Uygur,A survey was conducted to investigate hypertension,to measure blood pressure in xingjiang Uygur.422 of them were investigate dietary.Patients with hypertension groups(63 cases),the control groups(352 cases).The proportion of the two groups were balanced in physical labor of intensity,occupation,tobacco and liquor hobby, and level of life.and also had ho history of Secondary hypertension.The unconditional logistic regression were performed.Results:(1)Lake of some minerals and vitamins in food of Uygur.(2)Dietary Potassium,Calcium,VitC under supplement,and over -ferrum was positively associated with blood pressure.Dietary phosphonium under supplement, VitE.,retinol were inversely associated with blood pressure in populations. Conclusion:Protective factor and risk factor of hypertension are coexist in food.Rational diet was one of important measures to prevent and treat hypertension.
