Objective: To evaluate the correlation between CT features and expressionof Cyclin Dependent Kinase profiling P27kipl (P27),Ki-67 in renal cell carcinoma.Methods: Fifty-four patients with RCC diagnosed by pathology underwentMSCT examinations and expressions of p27, ki-67 were examined immunohistochemically. The 54 patients were examined plain CT scan then they wereinjected contrast media Lohex ol injection (300mg/ml) (1.5ml/ kg.weight) in median cubital vein at 3.0m/s. Corticomedullary phaseCMP) scanwas reformed after the injection 30s and Nephrographic phase (NP) scanwas after it 90s, the scan parameter:120KVP 250mAs. pitch 3.5. CTImagines were observed for tumor size, intratumor necrosis Liquefaction,cystic degeneration, enhancement heak, margin, perienal fat infiltration,lymphnodes metastases, invasion of renal vin or inferior venacava, invasicn of adjacent organs of distant metastases and analyze therelationship between the expression of Ki-67, P27 in renal cell carcinomaand MSCT signs, pathology grade.Results: 1. The accuracy of detection and charaterization and stage in54 RCC on two-phase enhanced SCT were 100%.2. 54 cases of RCC and 10 casesnormal kidney tissue all showed P27, Ki-67 positive expression. Thepositive expression of P27, Ki-67 in RCC tissue is significant higher thannormal kidney tissue (P<0.01). 3. The more pathology grade gets, thehigher Ki-67 positive expression (P<0.05), the lower P27 positiveexpression (P<0.05), these two shows inverse correlation. They have no statistic meaning in RCC tissue type (P>0.05).4. The positive expressionof P27, Ki-67 were significantly correlated with perirenal fatinfiltration, lymph nodes metastases, invasion of renal vein or inferiorcava, invasion of adjacent organs or distant metastases on CT scan (P<0.05)。Conclusions: 1. Two-phase enhanced MSCT scan is reliable for RCCpreoperative diagnosis. 2. Part of MSCT signs is associated with theexpression of P27, Ki-67, which can indirectly show the biologicalbehaviour and malignant extent of RCC.
