The Correlation Between CT Features And Expressions Of VEGF,PCNA And MVD In Renal Cell Carcinoma

Objective: To evaluate the correlation between CTfeatures and expressions of VEGF, PCNA and MVD in renal cell carcinoma(RCC).Methods: Forty-one patients with RCC diagnosed by pathology underwent SCT(spiral CT used the Asteion MSCT) examinations and expressions of VEGF, PCNA and MVD were examined immunohistochemically using the PC10 clone. The 41 patients were examined plain CT scan then they were injected contrast media Lohex ol injection(300mg/ml)(1.5ml/kg.weight) in median cubital vein at 3.0m/s.Corticomedullary phase (CMP) scan was rerformed after the injection 30s and Nephrographic phase (NP) scan was after it90 s,the scan parameter: 120 KVP 250mAs.pitch 3.5.CT imagines were observed for tumor size,intrarumor necrosis, Liquefaction,cystic degeneration,enhancement heak,margin,perienal fat infiltration,lymph nodes metastases,invasion of renal vein or inferior vena cava,invasicn of adjacent organs or distant metastases and compared with the immunohistochemical result.Results:1.The accuracy of detection and charaterization and stage in 41 RCC on two-phase enhanced SCT scans were 100%,100%,and 94% respectively.2.In 41 cases of RCC,the moan MVD was 87.80±38.91/ken. The positive expression of VEGF was 75.6% and PCNA was 100%.3.The posirive expression of VEGF. PCNA were significantly correlated with perirenal fat infiltration,lymph nodes metastases,invasion of renal vein or inferior cava,invasion of adjacent organs or distant metastases on CTscan (p<0.05) ,at the same time were correlated with MVD.4.As nuclear grade increased,RCC s were mere libely to be positive VEGF and PCNA expression and MVD enhance (p<0.05) .5.MVD and the expressions of VEGF showed a positive correlation in renal cell carcinoma (related parameter r=0.497 p<0.01) .
