Clinical Observation Of The Effect Of Chinese Traditional Medicine Xingbiningjiaoji In Treating Children Allergic Rhinitis

Objective:To observe the curative effects of Chinese traditional medicineXingbiningjiaoji on chileren allergic rhinitis. Then to disuss the pathogenesisof allergic rhinitis and the mechanisma of Chinese medication. To make afoundation for developing new type Chinese traditional medicine preparation intreating chileren allergic rhinitis.Methods: 15 healthy subjects served as normal group, 30 allergic rhinitispatients were randomly divided into 2 group:the treatment group(15 cases) andthe comparison group(15 cases).The treatment group patients were treatedwith Chinese traditional medicine Xingbiningjiaoji,the comparison grouppatients were treated with Budesonide nasal spray, both the 2 group' streatmentcourse is 4 weeks; Both the treatment group and the comparison group were measuredurnie Leukotriene E₄(LTE₄) before and after treatment: Both the treatment groupand the comparison group were to compare the score of symptoms and physical signsbefore treatment, after 2 weeks treatment and after 4 weeks treatment.Results:Before treatment, the levels of urine LTE₄ both in the treatment group andcomparison group were markedly higher than that in the normal group(P＜0.01);Evenafter treatment, the levels of urine LTE₄ both in the treatment and comparisongroup were still higher than that in the normal group(P＜0.05);The levels ofurine LTE₄ both in the treatment and comparison group were obviously reducedafter treatment(P＜0.01);After treatment, the levels of urine LTE₄ in thetreatment group was not significant defferent from that in the comparison group (P＞0.05);After 2 weeks treatment, the score of symptoms and physical signsof the two groups were not significantly different (P＞0.05);After 4 weekstreatment, the score of symptoms and physical signs of the treatment group wasobviously higher than that of the comparison group.Conclusions:1,The levels of urine LTE, of sick children with AR obviouslyincreased compared with normal group. As an inflammatory factor, leukotrienes ispossibly contributed to the development of the inflammation in AR.2,Xingbiningjiaoji and Budesonide nasal spray can reduces the level of urineLTE₄, the results indicated that Xingbiningjiaoji may prohibit inflammatoryfactors from releasing through intervening the combination of leukotrienes orinfluence leukotrienes receptor. 3,The effect of the Xingbiningjiaoji is stableand lasting compared with Budesonide nasal spray.
