Objective To investigate the expression and Significanceof Skp2 and P27 protein in bladder carcinoma tissues andrelationship between Skp2 and p27 in the development ofbladder carcinoma. Methods The expressions of Skp2 and p27 in 60 cases ofbladder carcinoma with SABC were detected by Inmunohistochemical assay. The control group was 10 cases of nontumorousbladder tissues. The relationship between expressionof Skp2and p27 was analyzed by spearman rank correlation. Results The positive expression rate of Skp2 wassignificant difference between bladder carcinoma tissues andnormal bladder tissues.(P<0.01) The expression of Skp2 hadthe character of heterogeneity in bladder carcinoma tissues. There were more positive expression and cells in lowerdifferentiated degree. The positive expression rate of Skp2in cases with transitional-cell carcinoma (TCC) of degreeⅠ,TCC ofⅡand TCC ofⅢwere 78%, 96%and 100%respectively. There was significant difference. (P<0.01) Thepositive expression rate of p27 also was significant differencebetween bladder carcinoma tissues and normal bladder tissues. (P<0.01) The positive expression rate of p27 in cases withtransitional-cell carcinoma (TCC) of degreeⅠ,TCC ofⅡandTCC ofⅢwere 54%, 75%and 90%respectively and therewas significant difference among 3 groups. (p<0.05)The relationship between Skp2 and p27 was inverse correlationby spearman rank correlation. (r=0.34, p<0.05)Conclusions The expression of Skp2 and P27 protein playimportant role in bladder carcinoma progression. Therelationship between Skp2 and progression of bladdercarcinoma was The relationship between Skp2 and progressionof bladder carcinoma was direct correlation. However therelationship between p27 and progression of bladder carcinomawas inverse correlation. Differentiated degree of bladdercarcinoma had on correlation with the expressions of Skp2 andp27 but correlated with the positive cells of Skp2. Theexpression of Skp2 had the character of heterogeneity inbladder carcinoma tissues and correlated with the degradationof p27. SKP2 may participate the progression of bladdercarcinoma earlier than p27.
